You do realise that if you act a bit annoyed about it - but don't ever go off on one - there's a good chance that the manager will let you into another screening of your choice. Depends on the manager and how nice you are about it.

Actually cineworld are really good at letting people see alternate films, or they are here anyway. And anyone that had a ticket for a cancelled screening would have had an email. If anyone has got them through a swap you'd think the person whose name is on the ticket would contact recipient with any new info by PM.

No cancellation in Sheffield so far, although I'll probably need a boat to get there. 8O

edit:

Since it started raining in #Sheffield at around 17:00 yesterday, we've had 53.9mm of rain! That's only 10mm shy of the monthly average!

If you get an email about a cancelled screening there are several things you can do:

Stay at home and watch TV instead in your PJs
Ignore it, pretend you never knew and ask to see something else for free or get vouchers
Alternatively, inform the people you gave your tickets to and let them make a decision.

Don’t panic everyone else into thinking their screening is cancelled if it’s not.

there's an Unlimited preview for Looper tonight, maybe they'll let people with cancelled screenings into that?

Anyone ever managed to see another film in London? Or are cinemas only generous out in the regions?
Preferred cinemas:
Vue West End, Cineworld Haymarket, Odeon West End, Odeon Leicester Square, Empire Leicester Square, Cineworld O2, Cineworld Shaftesbury Avenue and Odeon Panton Street, followed by anywhere in central(ish) London.

We had a problem at WIQ once and saw something else, the same happened at Odeon Greenwich I seem to remember.
