I've no idea what the O2 turnout was but, it was in the Sky Superscreen, whilst Avengers Assemble was in screen 7

Re: Elfie Hopkins
They had synching problems at the premiere
Celine had to get up and complain I guess the 'celebs were too plastered to notice

Re: Elfie Hopkins
Wsn't THAT bad. Must admit that after the speech sych issues (seems universal) I was rather embarrassed for my +1 as the first 2/3 of the film were rather dull. The final 1/3 really took off as the story revealed itself. If only the whole film could have sustained this amount of action and suspense. The film certainly had potential but was never realised. This should have been addressed at the storyboard stage. What were Raymond Winstone and William Murray thinking?
The girl twin was Effie from Skins btw.
I'm going to stick my neck out and give this a 5/10. Mediocre but could do better.

Billy Murray was sat two rows ahead of us, Kimberly Nixon was directly in front and John Simm was too far away for me to grope sadlystuartboy wrote:Wsn't THAT bad. Re: Elfie Hopkins
We had the same problem at Trafford Centre with the synchronisation at the beginning, but just when it was starting to get distracting it seemed to get sorted.Diane65 wrote:Ruby looked liked Paloma Faith, I too loved her outfits.jordsmum wrote:I agree with McG, this was a very strange film. We also had problems at Liverpool 1 with the synchronisation of speech at the beginning.
The best parts of the film for me were the outfits and hairstyles that Ruby Gammon wore. Loved them.
The character Dylan Parker was suitably naive and geeky, but Jamie Winstone's Elfie was too old in parts to be a believable teenage amateur detective.
3/10
I thought I had seen Ruby before, she has been in a couple of Misfits episodes which is one of my favourite shows.
It was better than I was expecting from the earlier reviews, they certainly were a strange family.

Re: Elfie Hopkins
Awful Film. Rubbish story, that didn't really make sense 2/10
A horse walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Why the long face?"
A pony walks into the bar and whispers, "I'll have a beer, please." The barkeeper asks, "Why are you whispering?".
"I'm a little hoarse."

Re: Elfie Hopkins
I wonder if we just saw a rubbish early edit - way before the finished article (which might actually have made more sense and flowed better)? I did actually like the last 1/3. The finger buffet was fun too.

Re: Elfie Hopkins
Well what can i say!!!!! Terrible ha ha!!
Went to Bluewater to see this. Firstly film didnt start until 19.10pm then the first few minutes were our of sync - although the SKY Rep that was there did pre warn us of this.
The film came up as a 15 - so why the 18 cert??
Definately not an 18 - and please it was so corny for the first half - thought i was watching Nancy Drew!!
Film did get better i suppose at the end with the gore - but only then.
12 people actually left the cinema half way through.
