Hugh Jackman was, as ever, excellent. Enjoyed the Japanese setting and spotting the various bits of Tokyo etc.

I thought the robot let it down - not really a mutant so i just felt it was an excuse for some CGI fighting. The Ninja fighting was much better.

Saw this in lieu of Pain and Gain tonight. (Couldn't choose Reds 2 as alternative since not seen Reds - and it was on telly tonight too!). Enjoyed this as an welcome escape that I could just fall into having left my brain in neutral at the cinema door. Nothing too taxing, but at the risk of sounding a little xenophobic I found it a lttle difficult to keep track of who was who as they all looked similar and dressed similarly. This wasn't helped by one character who's appearance changed markedly, and a plethora of Ninjas dressed in black too.

I much prefer Wolverine's stainless steel claws rather than his manky nail claws - he really needs a manicure!
Bullet train sequence was fun if a little overlong and slightly unbelievable.
The woman in green was particularly foxy, despite her venomous tongue.
Nice not to have to wait too long into credits for the ubiquitous extra scene. Didn't really add much though, nor act as much of a trailer to any sequels.

I'll plump for a 7/10 from me.

Used a voucher code to see this yesterday afternoon.

I really can't remember much of the other Wolverine film so can't compare.
apart from Jean appearing every so often
you don't need to see the other X-Men films as it stands on it's own. Well apart from the post credit scene. Having seen it in 2D I really can't see how 3D could do anything to enhanced the viewing pleasure.

Time went really quickly for me and it didn't feel like a 2 hour plus film. Enjoyed the bullet train fight scene (thought personally I prefer The Lone Ranger's train fight scene) and the ninjas. However I didn't think it was clear about the grandfather's intention till the end. Perhaps it was me so tired. 7/10

For me it didn't have the wow factor, it was just ok. Always nice to see Hugh bare chested but the storyline was a little disjointed.

slow, messy, dull start and middle, but action at the end was good, if very confusing. No motives for this Silver Samurai or Poison Viper explained. Spent most of the end looking at the Silver Samurai thinking 'wtf?' and 'why?'

Not sure what steroids Jackman is on but they did the job, he should go easy on them mind you!

Anyway I did enjoyed the tour of Japan but I felt shots of the country might have lingered a bit longer, they were often so fleeting.

I fell asleep in the middle so I have an excuse to go back for the 3D version now.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

I was really disappointed after finally getting to see this. I wasn't sure about seeing it at first as I was never really looking forward to it since I thought it was an unnecessary sequel. I thought it was a really weak film, and I could count the amount of mutants on my one hand including the ones in the mid credits scene. It didn't feel like an X Men film at all. I was expecting a lot of other mutants in the film but no. I really don't get why the film has done so well and why fans have praised it as the 'Wolverine movie we've been waiting for' when I felt that Origins was way better. The only good thing was the mid credits scene. I was so disappointed I have to give it a 2/5. I didn't think I would dislike it more than First Class but I was wrong. And for a 12A the language and violence was too much. It should have been a 15.

I agree with almost everything you say there. one of the most disappointing films i've seen in a long time.
