Re: Fast and Furious 6
I watched this on Sunday at Odeon Greenwich, prebooked PREMIER seats too
and it's been a loongggggg time since I've had such good seats (used to free screening and getting average to rubbish-neck-breaking seats)! I really enjoyed it and yes Fast 5 was better but I still really liked Fast 6. I like how they've ended after 'the end'..kinda funny to see
Jason Statham
lolz

It was exactly what I expected. Fun that doesn't require thinking, some ridiculous stunts, attempt at twists. But I'm not complaining, because I went to see it to get exactly what it served. All in all I enjoyed it.

Am I the only who have never seen any of the other 5 FFs?

Re: Fast and Furious 6
Loved it - definitely the best of the bunch for me. I've watched them all from FF1 but always thought they were fairly average films. The fast cars are fun to watch and you know what you are getting but I've never been eagerly anticipating the next film. Can't wait for FF7 - FF6 did its job well!
Agree with what others have said about Luke Evans being woefully under-used. They finally have a great villain and he deserved more time especially
when we found out that he was the one pulling Braga's strings.
They should have explored Shaw's relationship with Letty in more detail - I know it is meant to be "Dom&Letty 4eva" (boring!) and I agree that should be where it ultimately ends up but give Letty a chance to step away from Dom for a minute.
They should have ramped up Shaw's mind games - it would have made him even more sinister and made us guess where Letty's loyalties lie a little longer. We knew she was uncomfortable with him from the start. It would have also made Riley's turn more unpredictable - I honestly thought he was talking to Letty!
.
There just didn't seem to be the time to develop Shaw or his team's character. It was a long film but I would have happily sat for 10-15 mins longer to include those scenes.
The action was ridiculously fun - just leave all reality at the door. I feel we have been on a journey with these characters so maybe I can forgive some of the weaknesses this far on. Everything felt bigger and bolder. And finally, Tokyo Drift makes sense!
We had a little taster of what to expect next although
quite frankly I would have been happy if it showed Owen Shaw survived his apparent demise and was behind Han's death. They could have then saved Jason Statham for FF8 - yes I liked Luke Evans that much!
The screening I went to was absolutely packed, maybe a few seats at the front. On a Tuesday night and not during the first week of release. Clearly there were many fans at the screening I attended as there were joint laughs, gasps and groans at the cheesiness. It's a good cheese though - the film even got a round of applause at the end. I didn't realise how popular these films have got - I don't remember that happening when I went to see other FF films at the cinema - but then again FF6 is distinctly superior to its predecessors. 8.5/10.

Re: Fast and Furious 6
Great, great, great love all of the Fast and the Furious films and this one was as good if not better than the rest.
