really not comfortable with this movie, even though its an insight into the way emergency services work which is very interesting in itself. But it wasn't Halle Berrys continuing woeful hairstyles or acting that's the main issue, its the scriptwriting towards the end.
It was also nice to see a movie that emphasises black people in the front line of the emergency services- I don't understand why blacks are marginalised all too often in movies to being the secondary character or 'the one that dies first'. Shame then that the police here were often shown to be somewhat incompetent, especially in the last half hour which is risibly plotted. What was she thinking??
