I agree, The Total never actually does Manchester screenings, they do both Ashton and Bolton regularly, but for anyone who actually lives in Manchester these are too far to realistically get to for a 6.30pm screening, with the distance and it being rush hour. I have tried a couple of times and it takes an hour or more just to get there just sat in traffic, a bit quicker on the return trip, but I just dont bother with these now. Everyone has their limits of what they are prepared to do for a free film, I dont mind travelling to anywhere else in Manchester, but these 2 places are just to far for me.

No idea why they dont do the Didsbury Cineworld, which is what I would class as the Manchester Cineworld or even Stockport or rotate between the different cinemas so everyone could occasionally attend, as when I did attend they were not full, I assume because of where they are and the difficulties to get there, surely it would be to their advantage to have full screenings so more people could spread the word

I can attend any day/time, but am unable to travel for health and financial reasons.
Anyway, as well as few being at my local i've noticed the region as a whole is fairly under represented....
From the last few screenings posted i'd have to do a train journey of over an hour to get there, then buses to and from the stations.

Anyone heard anything about any upcoming Sun screenings? We seemed to have had a good run and then nothing after Saturdays preview of Tinkerbell.

Does't look as though the Sun have any for the next 2 weeks as they usually show any screenings in the symbols at the top of the page. Sadly I think things may be a little barren for us . . . unless a few surprise screeniings appear. In fact, earlier this evening I was saying that if Cineworld was a little easier to park at for me I would now consider b*ying an Unlimited Card. I may have to consider that . . . or start to suffer withdrawal symptoms!

The Cineworld card is very good value, but this is better!!! Fingers crossed for something.
Will there not be a Total Film SFF code tomorrow due?

The Glasgow film festivals on for the last couple of weeks in February so I would imagine no previews during the festival.

It looks like the sun is doing tickets to the x-factor spoof play "I Cant Sing" next.

I'm surprised that the Cineworld card seems good value to anyone here, though obviously delighted for those who do find it helpful - especially if they are lucky enough to win one!

I find Cineworld shows very few of the films I wish to see and when I do go to a site, it's usually to see a free preview, thus wiping out one potential future trip on a card. And though Cineworld have their own (Unlimited) previews, they are always shockingly late at night.

Based on the currently quoted monthly cost of £15.90 (and remember, this doesn't cover the central London sites - another consideration for some) I estimate that you'd have to use your card at least 3 times per month to make even a small saving, and that's not factoring in the cost of any travel, parking, etc. How do others make it work for them and which previews do they then go to - the public ones or the Unlimited?

Free parking for the one in EDinburgh and it's only 10 minutes from my work. It's got 13 screens here and does show a decennt mix of blockbusters/independents/bollywood.
I wasn't comparing it to free that's clearly better but in comparison to other entertainment given even a Pure Gym type membership is £18 a month and the David Lloyd type places nearer £60 a month. So generally comparing to other activity memberships plus Cineworld tickets here are £9.50 approx for peak times, so the £16 is less than 2 visits.

It doesn't make too much financial sense for someone who already goes to all the previews anyway but if you can't make that time and you want to be flexible in what you see when then I think it can be good value - three times a month isn't really much if you're a film fan, and some locations just don't have that many previews in the first place.
