Yikes... this isn't looking good!
I wouldn't take that as an indication of quality. The last three Harry Potter's also got 3 stars in Total Film. So if you liked or loved those, ignore that score.
Fair enough. Total Film are quite hard-nosed when it comes to reviewing, I'll admit.

I mean, I'm not a huge fan but that review is shockingly poor. The 'Previously on Harry Potter...' thing where he uses the names of the actors instead of the characters was atrocious, pointless and unfunny. And anyone who uses a Monty Python reference (waffer-thin) instead of just using the proper word (wafer-thin) deserves a good bloody kicking (of course that could be a misspelling but I doubt it).

If it is a misspelling then thats a sign of a bad reviewer full stop! Everyone should know to proof read :giggle:

I dont care about the reviews in this case, its always a bit mixed for these films, although all HP films have scored over 80% on Rottentomatoes. Problem is with this movie is that we are getting half of a story and that kinda bothers me. I always appreciated how each film refined the book narrative to a cinematic flow. Fans hate what is cut but I prefer a proper movie when I watch a movie. This last 2 parter is a change of direction and I suspect a money spinning one. But its the same director, David Yates, who I think is brilliant, and same crew (with a new composer) so I believe the quality of film making will be right up there with the rest of the series, and despite my objection to the 2 parter, I cant wait to see it...and then moan at the end "where the hell is the rest of the story!!"
My film reviews here . ......My FMUK 2014 ratings.......My FMUK 2011 ratings.......My FMUK 2013 ratings . ......My FMUK 2012 ratings .

Oh they will milk it for all it's worth. When the last part comes out next year they will show the first part again for the people who have forgotten what happened, and they will do double bills and all sorts. Maybe I should wait till then...

Did no one from this site win tickets to the Premier??? That's outrageous.

they r generally bad films with lots of bad acting and to root it all the stories arent well written to start with.

but until they film Timothy Hunter (the infinitely superior wizard story, and probably where JK got the idea from), Pratchett's Sourcery or get more Sorcerers apprentice then its the only kid wizard story we are going to get, so i am gonna watch/sleep thru it! this will be the first Potter I will see at the cinema, incidentally.

and the good thing about starting crap is that things can only get better.... cant they??
it does boil down to whether you are a fanboy or not, and all things wizarding are fun until we finally get the Hobbit films...
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?
