saw this in a packed Aberdeen Cineworld last night - in fact, so packed that there were people sitting on the floor/steps. Those poor people were then ejected when the staff came in to do their security check! Can't imagine the chats were too polite either way!?!

The film, well, I was bored. Vince Vaughan and Kevin James are comedic actors and did a fairly convincing job. Winona Ryder and Jennifer Connolly are really not well suited to comedy, no matter how loosely the term comedy is used, here I agree the film really didn't know what it wanted to be, but Jennifer Connolly doing her best impression of Courtney Cox being Monica from Friends was pretty lame and she really looked, throughout, like she'd rather be anywhere else! Winona Ryder just wasn't convincing, the role was too lame for her I think. Channing tatum that was a waste too - either use him or don't that was a pathetic halfway house that could have been funny but wasn't.

Sorry, didn't really like it. it wasn't bad, but it just wasn't good enough either.

4.5/10

I just seen this movie last night at cineworld.
It's not that great, a couple of laughs here and there but nothing special.
If your thinking about seeing it, please don't waste your time trust me!

So disappointed by this, hardly laughed all night (and there was a eerie silence during most parts of the film so I think the majority of the audience agreed with me).

I'm a massive Kevin James fan (King of Queen's is one of my fave comedies) but there was no chemistry between him and Vince Vaughn (who I'm not too keen about anyway). Surprised to see Winona Ryder in this too.

None of the characters worked for me, even Channing Tatum did not relieve my boredom. I felt like walking out a few times but had hopes it would get better. It didn't.

The story had potential but the jokes were slim (or maybe too American so I didn't get it?) and it didn't work. 3.5/10. Very low score but I don't feel like being too generous as I felt it should have been way better than it was.

I saw this last week and really wish I hadn't wasted my time. Like Opas i'm a big Kevin James fan and when I saw the trailer I thought it may be an okay film but was hugely disappointed. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Thanks to Beate/OH's tickets at the Soho Hotel, I saw this screening this afternoon. Contrary to the directions in their email - it is not off Wardour Street, but off Dean Street into a cul-de-sac! So instead of being particularly early so I may be able to offload some of the free tix to guests at the hotel, I managed to get there just in time. As soon as everyone had arrived and been ticked of the list, the film started, although we were all asked to arrive by 12.45pm, the last couple arrived at 1.05pm, presumably getting lost on Wardour Street, as I did.

Wow, the Soho Hotel Screening Room 2 is one of the best and luxurious I have ever been in. Five rows of eight comfy sofa chairs, some single, some doubles and some covered with red leather and others with black and white dalmatian print, nicely spaced out, so comfortable and roomy, each with a small table on a swivel to hold your drink and popcorn. The room had a great incline so nothing blocks your view. I was greeted by a very friendly Film Project Manager from Magic Radio, who also stayed to watch the film. She offered us popcorn, a bottle of water, and a bag of maltesers, promptly given out by another lady. When I asked for some more maltesers, for the friends who could not make it due to train problems and would be disappointed at missing the screening, she said if they had any left! And sure enough there was one bag left and she actually brought it to where I was sitting, I couldn't expect more than that, except they were two bags short, as I counted three spare seats! Although there were loads of popcorn left, and they were the really yummy kind, they were in those open boxes, so hard to take.

Anyway, did not not expect much from the film, but I was pleasantly surprised to be quite engrossed by the drama of it, but it just was not that funny. It had potential, but it just did not get there as a comedy. The audience were really, really quiet. I felt quite sorry for the Vince Vaughn character who did his best to resolve the "dilemma" but without much success, but at the same time quite irritated by Vince Vaughn as an actor - he seems to be the same in every film I have seen so far! I thought Queen L was underused, I kept thinking Winona Ryder has aged a lot, Jennifer Connelly reminded me of Demi Moore in looks, and when Vince and the other guy stood opposite each other, were they trying to emulate Morecambe and Wise? It was not that awful, so I will give it 6/10 for the drama.

LOL, good one! Glad you enjoyed it. I would have loved to have experienced the screening room but I am not sad at having missed this particular film - although if they could have just had the screening a few hours later we would have - erm, overcome the train problems.

Yeah, a little later for me would help too as it was, I just made it! Very nice hotel though. Apparently, the Four Lions screening was held there but in Screen 1 which was not so swanky, and there is an entrance from Wardour Street, as OH tells me! How I missed the tiny alley way - I have no idea - may be it was like Platform 11 3/4... :D

Poor. Unfunny. Too long. My quest for a funny comedy continues!

Reasonable film, but overlong and not as good as I thought it would be.
