I won tickets to watch this tomorrow (*many thanks to bevvy for warning me about the name competition*). I'm glad to hear that some of you enjoyed it. Wasn't sure if I should watch this or No Strings Attached.

You can't be that much younger than me. I remember it also. It's a very good movie but very sad, indeed.

Saw this yesterday at PCC at a screening for people called Paul (.or any variant of the name). IDs / tickets weren't being checked so pretty much anyone who joined the queue could get in. The film was introduced by Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, which was a very nice surprise. We were all given Paul masks to put on for some promotional photos.

I thought the film was funny, but I guess that I didn't pick up on many of the sci fi references.

So does it compare favourably to films like Shaun of the dead?

I think it's better than Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and Burke & Hare, but then that's just me. That film critic guy on the bbc last night kind of slagged it off.

Went to see this film last night, altho I preferred the likes of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, I did very much enjoy Paul and found myself laughing a lot which is always a plus sign. Pegg n Frost were genius as always and Seth Rogen as the voice of Paul was fab! Also really like Kristen Wiig once she'd started learning how to swear, she just made it sound so funny!!

Hope no one was at the 02 screening last night and some crazy person came in mid film, and started crawling on her hands and knees! Really sorry for the disruption!

We had just had our fab Valentine's Evening - film Titanic, champagne and Exhibition and as we were leaving at 11.15pm - OH thought he dropped his travelcard in the cinema! Cinema staff tells us go right ahead back to the screen and search, but did not know there was a screening going on, and OH says as I am small, can I go and look! So I was on my hands and knees whispering, sorry, sorry, sorry, using my mobile as a torch. The guy sitting at our seats was really helpful too and helped me look. Didn't find anything, as OH had it in his jacket pocket all the time! Aaargh! Could have throttled him. I know what it is like to be interrupted in a screening so a sincere apology to everyone I disturbed!
