I had middle of upper circle which was absolutely fine (specially compared to say the Palace Theatre and Theatre Royal Drury Lane where the Upper Circles are just dreadful)raineylb wrote:I got front row upper circle, it was the best I could find and afford, hope they will give us a good enough view.

I have seen the reviews on here that the Vocal Orchestra is entertaining, but it's only an hour, to those that have seen it, would you have made a special trip into London for it, or only do it as part of something else?
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

I definitely would recommend going. And its very family-friendly. I'm only a bus ride away, so it's no trouble for me at all. There's plenty else to do at the Southbank though. If the weather is rainy, there's an arcade. The last time I went, there were bumper cars and bowling, as well as all the usual machines. There's a McDonalds!! I'm not sure if you can sit down in there though. There's Sealife (expensive though). There was also a nice swing park. The London Eye (again, expensive). You have the 'street acts' which the kids usually like. In the actual 'Udderbelly' area, you can get alcohol as well as a cup of tea (£2 for a black tea though!!). They were also selling 'cups' of chips. It's freeeeezing inside the venue tho, for some reason, so if you're taking the kids, make sure they're wrapped up!!! You exchange the SFF ticket at the ticket office, which is just next to the Udderbelly. I think I've covered everything!!

I also went to see 'comedy in the dark', which I enjoyed. A bit strange, I grant you, but you sort of get used to it!! The host introduces the show and is seen for about 5 minutes, before ALL the lights go out and you're sitting there in total darkness!! Four acts, including the host. All were funny (one was a bit tooooo posh for me!!) You literally only see them for 10 seconds before and after their act. The ticket office told me, if the comedy shows start at 7pm, it's over-16s. A show starting at 9pm is for over-18s only.
