I definitely would recommend going. And its very family-friendly. I'm only a bus ride away, so it's no trouble for me at all. There's plenty else to do at the Southbank though. If the weather is rainy, there's an arcade. The last time I went, there were bumper cars and bowling, as well as all the usual machines. There's a McDonalds!! I'm not sure if you can sit down in there though. There's Sealife (expensive though). There was also a nice swing park. The London Eye (again, expensive). You have the 'street acts' which the kids usually like. In the actual 'Udderbelly' area, you can get alcohol as well as a cup of tea (£2 for a black tea though!!). They were also selling 'cups' of chips. It's freeeeezing inside the venue tho, for some reason, so if you're taking the kids, make sure they're wrapped up!!! You exchange the SFF ticket at the ticket office, which is just next to the Udderbelly. I think I've covered everything!!
if its raining you might also be able to nip into the National Theatre next door for a little gig before Udderbelly ! -

which the South Bank Centre do at 5.30ish on fridays too! All for free.

If worst comes to worst and it pours down you can always use the free access media centre at the BFI until Udderbelly starts. Lots to watch their on a nice big tv screen.

The show opens in November, so it's only 6 months away.

I've seen some musicals where you can b*y tickets 18 months in advance, so 6 months isn't too bad...

Oh...my mistake.

Well I guess they want to do it while Whitney's death is still fresh in people's minds.

I probably still know all the songs by heart, so I guess I'd go too :)
