I love Christmas cards, don't get me wrong, but I am allergic against those electronic greetings from companies I get in their dozens now in my inbox. "Merry Christmas from ebay." "Season's Greetings from Clipper Teas." Grrr. Either send me a voucher or go away!

Oh I love Christmas crackers and always b*y quite decent ones. I usually wait until the expensive ones in Sainsburys go on a BOGOF or half price - which they always do!

We b*y a lottery lucky dip for everyone that is at the dinner table Christmas day. We seal them in an envelope if the draw if just before Christmas and we all check them together. The agreement is that anything less than £100 the person gets to keep and anything over has to be shared between everyone. Not always had the best of success but a couple of £10 wins and a few four number wins so about £60. Never the biggy yet but fingers crossed - we will certainly find out how nice all our family members are if 6 correct balls come out!

That reminds me where I used to work, our team used to give each other birthday cards and would put in a scratch card with it, but none of us won anything big! It was fun though and a little something extra. o/

Did You Know?

It is estimated that Santa will visit 842,000,000 houses this Christmas!

And to visit all of them he must travel at a speed of 4,796,250 mph!

I do hope he doesn't get flashed by any speed traps!

The largest functional Christmas cracker was 45.72 metres long and 3.04 metres in diameter!

(and I bet it still had a crappy gift and a stupid joke inside it!)
