This Lord Mayor’s Show Day, Saturday 12 November, visitors of all ages are invited to join in the celebrations at St Paul’s cathedral. Entry will be free all day, and visitors will be able to enjoy Animal Parade: a musical pageant for children and adults.

Narrated by actor Brian Blessed, Animal Parade is a wild and wacky depiction of ten familiar animals, from the tallest to the fastest, the biggest to the nastiest. This affectionate caricature of wildlife explores the unusual characteristics of these creatures in a thrilling and entertaining assortment of organ effects. There will be three performances at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.

Music by Iain Farrington and verses by Esther Eidinow.

Simon Johnson: Organ

Brian Blessed: Narrator

CARDIFF - FREE ENTRY to Techniquest Sat 12 + Sun 13 November 2011

It’s Techniquest’s 25th birthday and WE are giving YOU the present! As a thank you for the support that you have given Techniquewwust over the last 25 years, the Community Weekend will provide FREE entry for all visitors on 12 and 13 November between 10am – 5pm. This event is being supported by Wales & West Utilities.

Among the attractions are a marquee on the forecourt with entertainment, members of the public can put their name to a giant 25th birthday shimmer wall exhibit for a small donation, while buskers will give short demonstrations from Techniquest’s most popular shows. All this will be in addition to the centre’s 120 interactive exhibits. Birthday cake made by Cardiff and Vale College and goodie bags will complete the celebration experience.

We are expecting the birthday weekend to be busy. Please be aware that you may have to spend some time waiting in the marquee, but hey, there’ll be cake and entertainment. It’ll be worth the wait!

Please be respectful of our neighbours and park considerately. Traffic wardens will be monitoring the area and will be issuing parking tickets. There three car parks located within walking distance of Techniquest:
· Mermaid Quay multi-story – directly across the street from Techniquest
· Havannah Street car park – located in front of St. David’s Hotel
· Cardiff Waterside multi-story – located next to the Wales Millennium Centre.

Even better, why not use public transportation? Train services from Cardiff Queen Street to Cardiff Bay run frequently throughout the weekend. The Bay is also serviced by the 8, 11 and Bay Car services operated by Cardiff Bus.

*Terms and Conditions
1: This offer is only valid on 12 and 13 November
2: Entry will be limited to 500 people per half an hour
3: Visits will be limited to one and a half hours
4: Last entry to building will be at 3.30pm
5: Not to be used in conjunction with any other offer
6: Not exchangeable for cash
7: Techniquest reserves the right to refuse entry or to remove this offer at any time.

For more details, keep logging on to the website www.techniquest.org/25 or ring 029 20 475 475.

Kelly is excited to announce that she'll be performing a very special free fan only gig tomorrow at The Borderline in London on Thursday 10th November.

To be in with a chance of attending this very special intimate show, simply re-tweet the tweet on Kelly's official Twitter account Kelly's official Twitter account that sent you to this news story.

Once you've done that, take a screen grab showing you've re-tweeted the post, print it off or save your print-screen and present it at The Borderline box office from 4pm GMT on Thursday 10th November.

The first 200 fans who are able to show their print-out or print-screen at the box office will be given a wristband that will allow them to gain access to the show.

If you're successful and get a wristband, doors open for the venue at 7pm GMT. So what are you waiting for? Get re-tweeting Kelly's post now! Good luck!

Please note, this show is for Over 18's only. Please click here for full terms and conditions.
