Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
I have tickets for Cantina, though slightly nervous about it given the description.
Anyone going to see Babel tonight?

Went to see A Small Town Anywhere at the BAC on Friday -
http://smalltownanywhere.net/
You are invited by the Small Town Historian to don hat and badge to become a citizen in a recreation of the most momentous week in the history of A Small Town Anywhere.
The recreation starts at 7:30pm, but doors to Le Salon open at 6.30pm and the sooner you arrive, the more history you’ll have in the Town.
Coney’s 2009 hit piece of theatre for playing audiences is an examination of community under pressure. It returns to scratch as a lighter and more responsive version for travelling.
I thought it was tremendous and really enjoyed it immensely. The best way to sum it up is if you walked onto the set of Dogville. It is definitely a play about exploring the future of theatre. Because it's an immersive play, it is dependent on audience reactions/participation, so some people might not like this.
On the night I went, it was just stunning and thought-provoking. Definitely 10/10

I think today's a rather wet day for Babel. Isn't it meant to be outdoors?

How lovely. Is it at the Royal Albert Hall? That must be an experience in itself.Octopus wrote:Is anyone going to the Brit Floyd tonight? I'm excited, despite my lazyness tha makes me want to stay at home...

It is yes. I'll be working but I love Pink Floyd - well the Syd Barrett period - so I hope it will be good!Diane65 wrote:How lovely. Is it at the Royal Albert Hall? A colleague just told me there had been a competition to win tickets. If I had known... :-(

Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
Just came back from Babel, you would have been soaked towards the end. It seemed interesting, I'm not too sure if I got the point of it though, apart from it being based on the tower of babel.
They missed a real opportunity with refreshments though.
There was some but there could have easily been more.
