lol i dont give a monkeys for disney style crap so its no hard deal. but Glassy, 10/10 effort for attempting to get me to the exit door fo the thread lol. :p

it is a pity its all ended now. I know I do dig at the stupidity of the stories sometimes (like Rowling writing the inherently evil Slitherin house into Hogwarts is like Yoda saying 'Have great idea, i do! Invite Darth Maul, Boba Fett and Jabba the Hut to join the Jedi Council, I will!' facepalm, facepalm :wall: ). But there were things in the potter film that you just arent going to see in other films (very few writers combine both the real world and the magical world in one, you know, you dont get to see dragons flying over the thames often lol).

If anyone is interested in expanding the Potter world, there are some interesting source materials that Rowling must have used, which offer yet more layers to the magic world pie.

1. The Books of Magic graphic novel - Timothy Hunter, a bespectacled child destined to be the greatest magician ever, with the help of his owl, a female friend and his ginger pal, and despite the uncaring nature of his parents. These are actually pretty ace, and althouhgh Hunter predates Potter by several years, Timothy isnt really a far throw from Harry so you can almost see it as a continuation of the Potter novels. Theres even a jokey crossover story in the series, where Timothy Hunter's brother tries to board a train at platform 9 and a 1/2. :p There si aa lot of reading to do on it, and the series is still expanding.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Books_of_Magic

2. Wizards Hall - Henry sets off to Wizards school, an ancient castle like school that looks just like Hogwarts. Since it predates Potter, this was the probably the mould Rowling (though she wont admit it) used for the Potter series, hats of to the author Jane Yolen for providing it -

3. Pottermore, Rowlings own Potter website about the world of Potter.

4. finally - keep our fingers crossed that there will be more potter stories in the future. It seems inevitable, tbh. Someone will write one. Hell, I'm even writing one now.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

Does it involve Voldemort being a "kiddie fiddler"? :giggle:

Would it be weird if in 30 years some new director/producer decides to remake the series?

I can see it happening.....

And no doubt by then we would have moved onto the 4D fad, therefore resulting in everyone being burned in the first one, soaked/frozen in the second, having splinters in the 3rd, a combination of the 3 in the 4th one as well as being tortured by you know who, who knows come the end, half the audience might be killed too :giggle:
