Have not been on here for a while but nothing much to report just the same old routine and a pound lost one week and then a pound gained the next.

Went swimming this morning as hadn't been last week as I have had problems with flashing light in the corner of my left eye. Went to the optician's as I knew this could be a detached retina but fortunately the gel from the back of my eye has detached but not pulled the retina. I have to go back again in two weeks to see if it is improved or worsened. May have to go to the Eye dept at the hospital if not better then. Have a floater now in that eye too which I see in the light and the yellow flashing light in the dark which was annoying when sitting in the cinema. :(

Didn't stay in the outdoor pool for long this morning as although we didn't have snow it was a bitterly cold strong wind which made waves in the water in the pool so not so enjoyable.

Pleased you got your lunch from Sainsbury's provided Diane it may have embarrassed them so much now that they will think about changing the three tier system in the future. :cross:

Sorry to hear about your eye problems Biggins but well done for being quick off the mark getting it sorted. Thanks re the lunch remark and I really don't think that they should provide any of us with a lunch but it was the 3 tier system which was a bit naff.
I'm ashamed to say that my exercise regime has fallen off a bit due to mad hours at work this week with lots of mandatory training that needed to be updated before the end of March plus a few new ones and sadly the sign of the times re dealing with obese children. We can now refer the children onto a healthy lifestyle programmes rather than treating the symptoms in isolation eg joint pains and type 2 diabetes purely being brought on by their weight issues.

It was Yogi taking a picture of me last Easter with my big fat face that inspired/shocked me into getting my excess weight off.

I have fallen into a rut - eating the same things and doing the same exercise. I shall have to re-assess what I do. I'm not gaining weight, which is reassuring, but I'm not losing anything either. It's pretty soul-destroying at times, isn't it? I shall persevere. Good luck everyone to everyone else. Maybe when the warmer weather arrives (though that's probably not for the forseeable future), I shall feel less inclined to think about food all the time.

1)Consultants and Doctors - selection of cooked meals and fresh fruit

3)Clinicians (us the lowest of the low) - a Klix vending machine where we could p*rchase coffee and sandwiches :wall: It was pretty humiliating as we were all in the same building and could see what the others were provided with.
I know this is a very late reply but i just had to say i'm absolutely shocked at reading this ! This is TERRRRRRRRRIBLE ! Someone should write a letter and complain of this because this should be downright unacceptable in these days and times, i have heard from doctor friends of mine about the whole heirarchy and elitist culture within the medical profession but never really thought much of it until i read your post ! And this is supposed to be an institution that everyone should be looking up to and aspiring to ????? DISGRACEFUL !

Ah thank you so much and I'm quite shocked at how strongly not only yourself but others have felt about this. You have really made me think about what we do tolerate at work and just accept as normal. Thanks so much.

Andrews you looked really good when we met up so don't be too hard on yourself as you have done so well. I kept with the same fitness regime for the entire 5 months when I was on my main weight loss regime and even though I am still exercising I'm not doing it as much as much as I should so I need to get a grip.

Moviemann am I allowed to share your recipes with my friends at work as I have been telling everyone about them? I know it may seem mad me asking but its not my recipe to pass on.

I have been a complete slug this weekend, no exercise at all since Thursday. Had a minor meltdown on friday due to the dreadful work picture but it was a bad angle as my boss looked big and she isn't in real life phew! Got new scales on friday night that measure body fat, water, bmi etc.
Calorie wise I have been good, no major blow outs despite the meltdown. Felt like eating a whole easter egg but didn't hooray. So back to the kinect tomorrow and school run for the next two days so that should help make up for no formal work outs. Did walk around the riverside museum a few times, that has to count lol!
Hope everyone is well. Trying a new paste recipe for green curry for dinner tomorrow night  But I will need to try moviemann's curry recipes, maybe over the easter break as my daughter and husband love curry. o/

Well done on the calorie front and refraining from eating the Easter egg o/ I too have been a tad lazy with the exercise  for some weird reason as I'm going away in the morning I feel like I couldn't do too much today  I always have this thing about not leaving any ironing/cleaning needing to be done and making sure that I have meals cooked and frozen for the first 2 days after I return. I will do lots and lots of walking as its another city break but as for the eating that may be a different story

Moggers you will be converted when you try Moviemann's recipes; I went for a curry with work and although it was delicious Moviemann's was far nicer plus now I have all the spices in it only costs me for the meat and veg so its all good plus it freezers very well too.

Be good everyone and catch up at the end of the week :D
