I had no trouble sleeping last night but had difficulty waking up, due to my addiction to Easter Eggs I decided to do an extra long walk last night and an exercise DVD to try and balance everything out but was half dead when I finished and after a relaxing bath zonked out only to wake up at 7.20am 8O As I leave for work at 7.35am I only had time for a shower so had to eat half an Easter egg in the car for breakfast (265 calories) so was hungry all morning and had 13 patients to treat with a rumbling stomach - doesn't look very professional! Had only 10 mins for lunch due to extra patients so a kind friend b*ght me a healthy sandwich, just got one more patient to visit then I will return for a healthy dinner.
I know what you mean jmd1983 I always replace my ice-cream space in the freezer with ice-cream.
I will enjoy my treat day Sunday this week Mr Glass and I take on board your comments on my behaviour (a bit psychotic) re treat day, it's only when someone points it out that I notice what I say.
Well done everyone on their weight loss I'm impressed :P

Whoa whoa whoa...hold up girls, what is with the prolonged easter egg mashup ?!? Easter was over several days ago! "I have 2 Easter eggs left that I HAVE TO EAT", "I HAD TO EAT an easter egg in the car", " I am an Easter egg addict" "I have no will power"

You girls talking like the easter eggs are holding you hostage! I sure would like to see a B-movie of that, will be hilarious... Invasion of The Easter Eggs...The Day of The Easter Eggs...I Married an Easter Egg.

You really had to eat them, huh? No choice? There was another choice, give them away or better still, throw them away. And dont say its a waste because your being healthier for it!

Bloody eck, what is it with girls and their chocolate...uh you not meant to hear that last part, just mumbling to myself...

Right, after that little alien egg bursting out of my chest here's an update of the progress result...And the winner of the Humiliation of the Week is JMD! Mwahaahaa  OK, that was positively evil. But then again, its an incentive ;) Anway JMD, you did well actually because you havent gained weight! So well done there but I think we all know why you didnt lose, under your own admission, its down to eating BAD Calories...and Easter Eggs lie firmly and deeply in that category! And Diane, Easter Eggs do not make a subsitute for chicken eggs in the morning ;)

So all in all we all did pretty well (allsinginging, still yet to get your progress data). So JMD, good calories is your step for improvement. Annej, despite your exellent progress, you're capable of more if you take more control in your diet. And me, well I gotta continue on the track I'm on and not slack.

AnneJ wrote: Just wondered does anyone else have trouble sleeping when they’ve been exercising a lot? I always thought it would make me sleep more, I go off ok, but then find after about 7 hours I wake up and can’t sleep anymore, then find I’m tired in the afternoon??
That's interesting. I have difficulty in sleeping when I do my gym workout in the evenings. Because of the interval training nature of my exercises, the heart is still pumping a little faster long after the session (hence the continuing fat burn even at rest). Its like my andrenaline is still going. HOWEVER, when I workout first thing in the morning or at lunch time, I feel terrific for the rest of the day, ie sharp, quick thinking, and energetic, but by nightfall I am sleepy and have no problems having a good 7-8 hours sleep.

So I believe it is down to the time of day you work out. Its important to get at least 7 hours sleep (should really be at least 8 hours but in our hectic lives today...can be a challenge). Think of sleeping compared to recharging a mobile phone battery. If you dont regularly fully charge the battery , you get a shorter performance and worse, shortening of the battery life! Same applies to our bodies, and YES could even shorten our lives if we dont get enough sleep (not altogether sure on that last part, I like to be dramatric! but lack of sleep means lack of performance and more fatigue in our daily activities)

Ooh that was a bit of an outburst especially on a Saturday about our love of Easter Eggs (I might get the starring role in the film as I'm brilliant at stuffing my face with Easter eggs - I don't normally show off but!!!) and picking on poor jmd1983 like that 8O . In my defence I couldn't eat a boiled egg in the car as I didn't have time to boil it as I overslept but didn't go over my calorie allowance for the day (do you feel a bit guilty now - probably not ha ha); it was just one of those days I went for my walk after dropping off my daughter and had forgotten my trainers so still did it in a pair of wedge sandals - I really felt like I had had a work out after that.
I've increased my water intake over the last week and feel far better for it, so just need to lay off the eggs (no pun intended) only chicken eggs allowed!
Have a fun weekend everyone :D

Yeah poor me for being picked on! ;) It's good I'm not a comfort eater or I would be reaching for the nearest chocolate MrGlass :D

Had a lovely fresh homemade smoothie for breakfast with heaps of fresh fruit and some yoghurt. Went out to the pub for lunch but skipped the chips and had a leafy green salad, some brown bread with roasted garlic and some olives. Not too bad I thought and all delicious!

Then went for a walk for about an hour so I got some fresh air and some sunshine while burning off some of those calories.

This is much easier when the weather is nice...

With the sleep thing, I think that’s probably the problem, on the weekends I exercise in the morning, but during the week I always exercise in the evening, I couldn’t face getting up and going to the gym before work!!

Lol, yes I admit I do have a problem with Easter Eggs  I’m not sure why, I seem to have a big weakness for them and zero will power!! but I’m back on track today, only problem is that I have 2 eggs left, although they are locked away until next Saturday when its my treat day. Its only the eggs that’s been the problem, I’ve still been keeping on with the exercise. I’ve found spinning a bit addictive, I think it’s the challenge of seeing if I can make it though the class without collapsing!! I’m surprised how much it’s improved my fitness and this weather makes me want to work out more, I went in the outside pool at my gym yesterday and it was so nice to see the sun out :D

Hi, just want to say, i started the Cambridge Weight Plan (formerly the cambridge diet) last tuesday..... and i lasted a day!
Everything was minging, and i adore my food, preparing food, eating food and it was expensive, so instead all week i have just eaten healthy, went on my wii fit plus a couple times, still had some pre birthday birthday cake and a bit victoria sponge yesterday on a day out, and ive lost 7lb in one week! and 3 inches from my body! over the moon :D
So as much as im not going to join the actual weight watchers, slimming world and the likes im just goign to be sensible and see how i get on, because my bmi needs to go DOWN!
:D
