I really dig your journey to watch these films, despite all your criticsm, you make so much effort to complete the whole journey even with repeated viewings. That is quite awesome. It easy for the loving fans to do it but for you, it must have been a lot harder, lol. Hope you enjoyed it overall though. And good call on watching it in 2draj101 wrote:the 2d version seemed better, 3d was wasted.
although it has some of the shittiest plotholes of the series (voldermort didnt check on harry in the penultimate duel, why? wat a hopeless fool for a villain he is written to be), the battle of hogwarts is a true spectacle.

Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
thats ok , I love a good wizard battle, as you know lool. The Potter/Voldey battle in this was good, but the Dumbledor/Voldey battle at the end of Phoenix remains the benchmark. Better to come in the future, the whole wizard-in-learning theme deserves better (i know that Dumbledor/Voldey wasnt a long fight, was it? But it was more imaginative than the rather usual Potter/Voldey 'jedi force lightning' fights).TheyCallMeMrGlass wrote:I really dig your journey to watch these films, despite all your criticsm, you make so much effort to complete the whole journey even with repeated viewings. A visit to Hogwarts is of course, well worth the effort of walking into another cinema screen after your earlier free screening. I wish they would make a virtual Hogwarts for computers, I'd go every other day!
yes, i do wish the series had been written better. It would be nice if it made sense. But its been an undeniable visual treat, this one being the biggest treat, and I have now seen them all for free heehee, which rocks. And besides theres always another new wizard story just round the corner..... hopefully they will stick some ad lib wizard battles in the Hobbit.

One more thing, I am quite concerned for the films best 'child' actor Tom Felton, he seems to be aging even faster than before. He looks mid thirties now! I hope hes ok - wonder if its some kind of disease that is doing it to him?
Though on the bright side he should soon be ready to play a fortiesomething James Bond after the current one retires. He would make a top Bond.

Tom Felton is aging normally, he has male pattern baldness and sharp features which makes him look older anyway (the others have rounder chubbier outlines), he is 23 and quite a few paler skinned people have wrinkles around the eyes etc. He looks fairly young in POTA but maybe around 27-28raj101 wrote:One more thing, I am quite concerned for the films best 'child' actor Tom Felton, he seems to be aging even faster than before. Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
I just received my Pottermore access. Although its still in pre release stage, so only a few thousand testers have been given access, the site is crashing often due to overload servers. Not a good sign for the world wide release in a few days time, especially for Sony, who has been getting a rap on their securtiy lately.
However, I manage to progress a little on the first chapter and I really like it. My biggest anticipation was reading new literature bites from JK Rowling whether it be about the potter story or simply her own musings and I am not dissapointed. There is a great deal of her musing behind the scenes of her books peppered with a few anecdotes unrelated to Harry Potter. Of course there are also much more background material she has written for the world of Harry Potter too and thats a real treat. I just love her humerous style of writing. the visual presentation is lovely but there is absolutely no music background. Thats a very big oversight. Yes, I know, that would cost money but we're talking Harry Potter franchise here, adding music would not have hurt. That was one of my feedback to them. One other thing I dont like is the very UNSUBTLE "Sony Make Believe" logo right in the f***ing middle of the top part of the screen. Really spoils the immersive feel in Harry's world. Come on, be a little more subtle but still noticeable in the bottom right corner.
But for now, wait a while and be patient while Sony sorts out this horrid server issue which they have clearly not thought out the bandwidth requirements properly. Its Harry Potter with Rowlings direct involvement so surely they should be anticipating MASSIVE hits to the site.

Thanks for posting this, I have sort of avoided anything related to pottermore because i just wasn't sure how it would be and if it would ruin anything. But i might give it a try, having read your review now.TheyCallMeMrGlass wrote:I just received my Pottermore access.
