HI Guys
Great to see everyone posting so regularly recently !
I have a new recipe today, its a dessert recipe and its something i made yesterday and it always turns out soooooo delicious that i thought i simply had to share here ! its VERY easy too ! But be aware its NOT healthy at alllllllll so treat yourselves only if you deserve it
All the ingredients except one can be found in any kitchen and i'm sure everyone has them already, the only ingredient you will need to b*y is this
http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/asda-com ... _200g.html ,
they are available everywhere at the moment including asda tesco sainsburys , only 35p
so, ingredients
-1 packet vermicelli (as above link)
-A third of a block of butter (better the quality the better)
-6 pints whole milk (organic is best but normal milk is perfectly fine too)
-6-7 green cardamoms (use a spoon or flat side of a knife to split them open, just place the flat side of the knife onto the cardamom and give it a good smash down with your hands, that will split it open nicely, use both the shell and also the seeds inside in the dish )
-Quarter to third of a packet of sugar (depending on how sweet your tooth is ) so 250-350 grams
so, really easy , melt the butter into a pot and add all the split cardamoms (splitting them open releases a lot more flavour) , once the butter has heated and starts foaming add the vermicelli (lightly crush it up in your hands to make it into smaller pieces before adding), keep stirring and once the vermicelli have coated in the butter and have started to darken slightly add all of the milk and then the sugar. keep stirring the whole thing until the milk comes a to a boil. Once boiled switch the heat off and let it rest. Once everything has settled its ready to be served hot. Its really nice when its cold too.
Please do try this recipe, as it really is an amaaaaaazing sweet dish ! Enjoy !! :)
ps you also add almonds and pistachios to this dish too, some people even add dried fruits too .
:)
