ROCKY HORROR MEETS SPINAL TAP - A GREAT NIGHT OUT Simon Dale Heart FM

ROCK OF AGES is the "insanely fun" (New York Time Out ) worldwide smash hit starring Justin Lee Collins and Shayne Ward that features a raucous mix of 28 eyebrow-scorching tunes including Don't Stop Believin', We Built This City, The Final Countdown, Wanted Dead or Alive, Here I Go Again, Can't Fight this Feeling and I Want To Know What Love Is.

Set in LA's infamous Sunset Strip in 1987, ROCK OF AGES tells the story of Drew, a boy from South Detroit, and Sherrie, a small-town girl, both in LA to chase their dreams of making it big and falling in love. ROCK OF AGES takes you back to the times of big bands with big egos playing big guitar solos and sporting even bigger hair! This five-time Tony Award nominated musical, now being made into a movie starring Tom Cruise opens at London's Shaftesbury Theatre in September.

“It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife.”

Jane Austen, Pride & Prejudice

An engaging tale of love and values unfolds in class-conscious England at the turn of the 19th century. The three Bennet sisters – including strong-willed Elizabeth and frivolous Lydia – have been raised by their mother with one goal in mind: an affluent husband. When Mr Bingley, a very eligible bachelor, takes up residence in a nearby country estate, the Bennets are abuzz. Surely there will be no shortage of suitors for the Bennet sisters within Mr Bingley’s sophisticated circle.

Hannah Ringham's Free Show - Soho Theatre

#480 Post by cliveas » Tue Sep 13, 2011 11:07 pm

Possibly free?

Hannah Ringham's Free Show - Soho Theatre, London
(Bring money)
6 - 8 October 2011

At the heart of this show lies the question of its worth. It is free! You come in for free and in the show it is up to you how much you p*y. We tell the story of a woman whose relationship with a man went wrong, of the birth of her daughter whom she couldn’t afford to bring up, we go into the audience and we play with value. What’s it worth? What do we value?
