We're with you all the way Preston1990 and I'm sure that I'm not the only one who will support you all the way.

I too need to keep on writing down my menus as I am 6lbs heavier than last time we met Preston. Although calorie wise today is ok the quality of calories is diabolical. My stressful day on Thursday was A level result day and DD got a B in Geography when she needed an A to get into her first choice then she changed her mind and didn't want to go to second choice but they wouldn't release her for clearing so we had devastation, tears, anger, frustration followed by happiness when the eventually allowed her to go to clearing and now starting at Northampton University in 4 weeks. Hence today I had to do an impromptu visit to Northampton but as I had already agreed to work 8 until 7.30pm on Friday I had no time to plan food as I was on my way to drive the 140 miles before 7.30 this morning so it was Belvita for breakfast, a snickers for lunch and Ikea meat balls and chips for dinner as we were passing Birmingham on the way home plus I was a bit bored driving as the M6 isn't really exciting. Just got in at 9 so have no energy to exercise.

Aruif, you sound very like me and a slave to your appetites! Don't punish yourself for having something you want or fancy. That in itself is mentally unhealthy. However, if it helps, what I try and do when I really want something is a bit of damage limitation!

For example, if like you, I was to order a pizza, I would ideally order a vegetarian pizza because lets face it, the meat on takeaway pizza isn't exactly spectacular! Additionally, I always try and "downsize" my pizza. I really don't need to be eating a large and a medium pizza is better than no pizza! :D

This may not be your thing but I LOVE curries. So, in order to avoid ordering a home delivered over-priced curry that will be laden with fat and unwanted calories, I will make myself a curry that takes less than 15 minutes to prepare. Can you get a curry delivered in less time? I don't think so!

200g chicken breast
80g frozen sweetcorn
Can of chopped tomatoes
80g frozen peas
80g frozen spinach
2 tablespoons Pataks curry paste.

Cook chicken as preferred (I put mine in the George Foreman and then chop it up) then all ingredients into a pot (veg from frozen!) and cook until ready. Totally simple and straightforward! Also, you're getting approximately 50g of quality protein, 600 calories and 5 of your 5-a-day in one meal! Obviously if you add rice, it'll ramp up the calories but that's a matter of choice.

Most importantly, don't give up, Aruif. Every little change you make will add up to a big difference.

Aruif you are not moping you are simply expressing your feelings and as JohnMilton says you shouldn't punish yourself plus that sounds like a lovely recipe. We all have different reasons for gaining weight and struggling to maintain it so it is good how we can all relate to each other on different levels plus everyone is brutally honest on here about there health etc. Mine is simply I'm a greedy guts and now I have put on another 1lb this week :wall: purely by eating more calories (and not good quality ones at that) and working too many hours of late hence metabolic rate is slowing way down as not exercising enough hence now look like I'm about 5 months pregnant and looking chubby - for some reason it is all on my belly whereas my body shape naturally stores it on my chest and thighs  I'm worried as I'm meeting MrG on Monday and he might give me a stern talking too :noo:

Menu of the day:
Milkshake with raspberries and a banana (250 calories)
A 250 calorie lunch
Roast chicken dinner (well steamed chicken) followed by apple cake and vanilla sauce (got from Ikea last night) (a whopping 1000 calories)
So today is my treat day and I will fit in some exercise.

Preston1990 where is your menu? Baty have you returned from France? I know that Biggins and Moggers will be doing good. Keep the motivation going o/ I miss Greece my exercise buddy :noo:

Thanks guys. I guess for me that I'm eating at all is a good sign, I have been known to just not bother.

Tomorrow I might go to the gym - that always helps me feel like eating better.

today though i am going to finish this pizza - might as well be honest!

It must be so difficult when you have issues with food and its good that you're eating plus being positive with thinking of going to the Gym. Keep posting and we're all here for you.

Preston1990 I'm still waiting for your menu!! I can't find it anywhere ;)

Menu of the day:
Branflakes with a banana (350 calories - large banana)
Tesco coarse mushroom pate, 6 Miltons garlic and herb multigrain crackers, a peach and a Tesco light choices yoghurt (400 calories)
Sweet potato as a jacket with cottage cheese and pineapple (350 calories)
Cadburys Options at bedtime (50 calories)

I might not have time for exercise which is rubbish as have to go to my Mothers after the cinema (borrowed her car so need to return it as mine is hopefully being sorted today :cross:

What is everyone else doing today? Keep the motivation going as I for one need to get rid of my gut as not a look I want to keep :noo:

Sheesh!! 8O Have I just been told off?!! ;)

Errr.....Here's my menu :shifty:

TODAY'S MENU

1. Deliciously frothy Waitrose Cappuccino - they claim it's only 85 calories, but frankly, that's hard to believe!

2. Pack of rainbow vegetables stir fried with sliced up beechwood smoked frankfurters smothered in sweet chilli sauce - I totted up the calorific value of this, after I'd eaten it, and was shocked to find that it came in at just a smidge over 800!!
:jawdrop:

3. Substantial mid afternoon snackette of 2 slices of dry cured ham with sliced tomato in half a baguette - 550 ish cals

4. Chicken caesar salad - 361 cals

5. Just after midnight I will be trying to resist going downstairs to indulge myself in a boredom induced spoaching mission, where I seek out and consume a whole pack of milk chocolate Hobnobs - 1206 cals. Hopefully I will resist this food from Satan himself - as each individual biscuit weighs in at an astonishing 67 calories!!! and even if I resist completely I will have had almost 1900 calories today which is probably more than enough - it was those frankfurters that did the damage! 8O

Didn't manage any excercise at all today despite thinking that I may take my bike out and do a quick 20 miles or so every other day. Just too busy tidying up after my lazy teens and ferrying them around. :wall:

I hope things are going OK today for you aruif. o/

Diane, have you forgotten what a vegetable is? ;) Ahh well, I'm sure that a certain Mr G will soon be reminding you!!!

No time for exercise indeed?!!

Why not walk round to your Mothers when you take her car back!

Be good everyone! :D

Yikes I take it that I too am being told off :noo: But as they say if you can't take it don't give it!!
I will be take your advice (nagging) on board and will be having some vegetables tomorrow plus loads of exercise as doing all my visits on foot as car will be fixed tomorrow and can't borrow one but its fine as they are all within a mile radius of home. Good to have you back Preston1990 o/

Home made tablet at the cinema :nono: sounds lovely though ;)

Menu of the day:
Milkshake with strawberries and a banana (250 calories - Preston1990 I'm still sad enough to weigh out my fruit  )
Hummous with 6 Milton crackers and a peach (300 calories)
Vegetable chilli with turnips, butternut squash, green beans and red peppers - see I do remember what a vegetable is :giggle: (400 calories)

My exercise will be all the working I'm doing plus my bag with the tools of the trade is quite heavy so a bit of resistance training there.

Hope everyone is being good and keep up the momentum o/ Be good to see a few more menus then we can inspire each other and don't forget about moviemann's brilliant recipes o/
