Those few extra pounds will soon be history, matey. ;) You've done it before and you'll do it again. :shifty: And...I hope that you don't mind me mentioning this, but I was quite shocked to see how few calories your meals contained over the last couple of days. I thought 1200 was considered an absolute minimum and your's were less than that. I do hope that you are not starving yourself - you naughty thing! :nono: Sorry if all that sounds like a lecture - it's just that ....well you know!! :P
OK point taken and of course I don't mind being told off :giggle: I do take on board what you're saying and as you know me well enough by now I certainly won't be offended by anything you say. We will all get there together o/ Please keep up the advice as I certainly need it especially on the water and vegetable front

Your menu looks very good today and I'm with you Biggins on the nuts :shifty:

If you're at your target stick with it and well done o/ I think that you know in your own mind what is the right weight for yourself and have to have enough meat on yourself to keep well, although still within a healthy BMI if I went under 130lbs I would look ill and old but as I'm at 143lbs it's not going to happen anyway  I'm just not that build/shape I have curves so have to deal with it.

Menu of the day:
Special K (thanks to steve for the voucher it was only 67p o/ ) frozen raspberries and almond milk (250 calories that is 50gm of Special K as almond milk is only 29 calories per 200ml)
courgette and pea soup a la Biggins (wow just looked it up and only about 200 calories if I have the lot in one go - that is 3 courgettes an onion and 130gms of peas) so I can have a granary roll too :D (200 calories)
Brushetta with balsamic vinegar (150 calories) Wholewheat pasta with a Weight Watchers sauce (250 calories) with a green salad with low calorie dressing (50 calories) Low calorie Jelly huge bowl (20 calories)

I will do my DVD as soon as I have digested my breakfast - I'm ready now but only just eaten

What is everyone else up to today? Thanks for all your motivational posts as you've got me on the right track again and to Biggins for the reminder re water I drank so much yesterday I was on the loo after every second patient  :noo: but my body will be cleansed :giggle: I had actually started to get spots 8O as eating rubbish and not enough water - I could try and blame my hormones but in my heart of hearts I know it is because of the rubbish I've been eating :shifty:

Glad everyone likes the recipe for the soup. I see you are sticking to my original recipe Diane and not Preston's! :giggle:

Friends round last night and ate far too much late in the evening before bed and didn't sleep well - serves me right! Going to Portobello today for my fish for the week and although it is raining will have a good walk round the shops and along the promenade.

Have a good weekend everyone. o/

Just made a massive pan full and it's delicious and so easy to make plus I added a couple of cubes of garlic. The entire pan pre feta is only 200 calories and about 6 portions.

Must share this. Just had a delivery and the driver even said that my soup smelt delicious as he could smell it from the front door. All credit to you Biggins o/

Wotcha Fellow Fmuckers ;)

WARNING - GUSHING RAVE ALERT!!

I've been out by myself on the bike again this morning. Yes, I braved rain and major mud splatters on my (mudguardless) machine because that is how committed I have become to kick starting my diet. Impressive or what?

I did the same 22 miles as the last two days, but I started at the other end, to make it seem like it was different. If nobody understands that last sentence I wouldn't be surprised. Just think B to A to B rather than A to B to A . Yeah? o/ .

They say "there is no such thing as bad weather only inadequate clothing" and I must say my inadequate shorts, top and mesh trainers were sopping wet in about five minutes flat. I pressed on regardless though - Once you are wet, you are wet! - it's not going to get any worse. I felt I was like Sir Ranulph Fiennes (but obviously with more personality)

I know this is going to sound crazy and self-indulgent (but in my current frame of mind, I certainly won't let that stop me!! ;) ) but I could actually feel that I had lost some body mass around my middle over the last few days - I got weighed when I got back home, and it was true. Yay! Ok just a couple of pounds shed, but I was impressed considering that it was just since last Wednesday.

To say that I feel elated at the moment would not be an exaggeration and I'm even more committed to eating sensibly now and getting back to where I was weight-wise in October of last year, and ultimately to try for even more.

Today's Meals - (I'm conscious that I basically have almost the same menu every day at the moment, but I really do like it!)

1. Porridge, skimmed milk, blackberries.

2. Crunchy Salad Leaves plus salami, tomato, hummus, celery, chopped peppers.

3. Beans on toast with HP sauce.

4. Something snacky - not sure what yet!

5. E G Tea, Toast and Preston's "Improved" Courgette, Basil and Feta soup. No peas or mint leaves were harmed during the making of this soup! :P

Copious amounts of Water throughout the day!!

Have a great day everyone! Oh hang on......was that the door?.......probably the postie and assorted neighbours back and pleading for more of my soup!! :D

Well Done, Preston!! I still lurk here and am very proud of everyone's efforts!! Me and my Sister decided to 'eat more sensibly!'. After the first week, she lost 1lb and I stayed the same!! Mind you, neither of us took it as seriously as we should have! I'm not holding out much hope for the pair of us next week either, as both of us have an occasion to celebrate and neither of us will be 'good'!!

YAY CONGRATS Preston!!! And congrats to all of you for doing so well!!

I'm going to have to get off my lazy arse and actually make biggin's soup tonight! Don't worry, I'll make it a point to try the improved version too, Preston! I do however, have a sneaking feeling I'm gonna do a Diane ;) and pop in a couple of cubes of crushed garlic!

Can I just say, you guys rock!!! I love how the peeps on the WW thread are a wee family!! Your enthusiasm, caring, support & encouragement for each other definitely warms the cockles!! Yet another aspect of why FMUK is such a fab community!!!

Although I have tonnes of threads to catch up with on here ( as I've not been around as often as I'd like in the last year and a half) the WW thread is one I love to lurk in as I enjoy your creative recipes (I'm really only good at overcooking (aka burning) meals) and the way you egg each other on! It's inspiring! Keep up the good work!!!!! o/

P.S. Now I'm gonna go drink copious amounts of water and steer clear of the Baileys/Cocktails/Bacardi ;)
