Went to see One Turblent Ambassador at the lyric last night.
http://www.lyric.co.uk/whats-on/product ... mbassador/

I really enjoyed it. It's an amazing story about a very unusual guy. Helps to have an interest in politics though the story has many themes of morality, compromise vs principle etc
Production was very imaginatively staged and I though the acting was generally good.

There are still tickets left for the remaining shows and I'd recommend it.

I went to see The school for wives the other day at Lyric Hammersmith also. The play was funny and I really liked stage setting. It was so cute!
My first time in Lyric, it's a nice theatre with great sitting areas for drinks.

I saw this as well. Craig Murray is an incredibly interesting character, and I didn't catch either 'The British Ambassador's Bellydancer' or the play starring David Tennant, so I'm particularly glad that I saw this.

Imaginative stageing is par for the course with many of the LAMDA productions along with good (and always energetic) acting. For that reason I always recommend catching their productions if possible.

This is particularly interesting subject matter though, if you are at all interested in human rights activism (it doesn't deal with party politics as such). I very much hope that the script that I believe is being worked on currently gets made into a film (a previous attempt having failed), perhaps his school classmate Stephen Fry could be in it! I would like to see the story updated to the present day, although I suppose that there is only so much that you can fit in.

Yes, the Lyric has great areas for drinking/chatting etc. If the weather is suitable the roof garden is particularly pleasant.
