I'm sure this is nothing new to you crazy Hunger Games fans, but I just noticed that they are releasing the uncut 15-rated version of the film on Blu-ray. Now we can finally see what all the argument was about around the supposed 'censorship' of the film and whether it's at all improved with the digital blood effects (my ponderous estimate is yes). Looks like that angry letter I sent to the BBFC actually pa*d off (not really):

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

So i just got back from the screening and the 'Up on the O2' event, and amazingly, i was announced as the winner! We scaled up to the top of the 02 (a dizzying but fun experience) and my name was luckily picked out of the fishbowl, hunger games style. The catching fire premiere is still a good while away but hopefully i can get in contact before them to arrange my prize. Apparently its going to be in LA! Thanks to those who wished me good luck!

The film was, as ever, brilliant. I didn't notice that much different from the original except some splashes of blood and one or two extended sequences.

And elski! thanks for sharing the pictures i don't think i would have found them otherwise, I'm the one with the red hood poking out o/
