Hmm... the Duchess Theatre really doesn't suit Rock of Ages and I really don't think Burn the floor will do the job of putting bums on seats at the Shaftsbury Theatre.

Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
Burn the Floor will only be very temporary, Memphis is supposed to take over the Shaftesbury next year. The Duchess does seem a bit small for a loud show such as ROA but they're clearly not selling the roughly 1500 seats in the Shaftesbury on a regular basis and the Broadway show downsized to a similar theatre a few years ago and is still running, so who knows? First let's see how well ROA will do at all with the new cast come September.superhero wrote:Hmm... the Duchess Theatre really doesn't suit Rock of Ages and I really don't think Burn the floor will do the job of putting bums on seats at the Shaftsbury Theatre.

But the Duchess really isn't a "musical" theatre...

A&E seem to be playing the RoA soundtrack tonight - not sure what radio station they have on but it's cheered up my night!
Talking of RoA does anyone know of any current offers? I can't seem to find any and would like to see it once more with the original cast.

Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
Day seats (£25) are imho best value. Especially if you get the seats in the second row on the left (BB19+BB20).
Other current offers include Theatre fix tickets for £15 (but only for students) and a Whatsonstage membership + ROA ticket for £20 (but cheapest tickets start at £20 anyway, it'll be back of the circle).
