Finally got to see The Hunger Games (thanks to evilzadi) and it was brilliant!

Such a good cast and a very disturbing story that felt like a glimpse into our possible future.

Was quite surprised just how drawn in to the film I became and how emotional I felt towards the characters.

10/10 Well worth watching on the big screen and would fully recommend this to anyone who has not seen it yet. o/

Thanks again evilzadi :bighug:

We scaled up to the top of the 02 (a dizzying but fun experience) and my name was luckily picked out of the fishbowl, hunger games style. The catching fire premiere is still a good while away but hopefully i can get in contact before them to arrange my prize. Apparently its going to be in LA! Thanks to those who wished me good luck!

The film was, as ever, brilliant. I didn't notice that much different from the original except some splashes of blood and one or two extended sequences.

And elski! thanks for sharing the pictures i don't think i would have found them otherwise, I'm the one with the red hood poking out o/
Woah, that is unbelievable! Congrats! o/

Congratulations! I hope flights and everything else is included. It's a good thing it's so far off in the future that it gives you a chance to include it into your holiday plans etc for next year, not the sort of thing you want to win the week before it happens! :D

Wow, well done sikmansam! o/ I didn't realise it was for the LA premiere, thought it'd be the London one.

I went last night as well but unfortunately didn't see anything of the Reaping, I think the Tributes were chosen before yesterday and notified in advance? Quite a shame :( Also a mess was the fact they had everyone queue up outside the Sky screen for half an hour until eventually, at the last minute, we went to a smaller one. The smaller screen did have D Box seats which was an interesting experience. I wouldn't say I'd chose those seats again in the future but it was fun for just the once.

The movie was great again second time around. While I didn't notice much in change to the originally screened version (except for maybe a spatter of blood more here and there) that could be due to the fact that I know the books very well, so any additional scene(s) will be familiar anyway as I know it from the book. Just wish it had started earlier as it finished near 11pm!

can't post in comps as don't know what the prizes are....

The Capitol are dropping parachutes round London tomorrow (Saturday 1st Sept) for 12 lucky winners. Four will be dropped in each location!

Clue 1 - History lesson! Where did Nelson do battle? Was it at Trafalgar, by any chance? You’ll find the first parachutes in this famous Square, near the steps of the Museum, between 11 and 11.30.

Clue 2 – A popular market very near Leicester Square, which sounds like it should be covered in grass. Be on the west side of the Piazza, between 11.45 and 12.30

Clue 3 – Near the London Eye, this bridge has a name that sounds like it’s been there for a Thousand Years. Be on the Southbank side between 12.45 and 1.30

The Capitol is dropping parachutes round London today, with great prizes for anyone who finds them. Check out the notes page for clues to the drop locations.

PLEASE NOTE - Location three has changed. May the odds be ever in your favour

Congratulations! I am so pleased for you - some effort to climb to the top of the O2 -(not for a wimp like me).

When are you going? And how long will you be in LA?
