I thought this was great! the trailer doesn't do it justice. They were taking tickets right at the entrance today so I could have taken a wrong turn into one of the 19 other screens (and it did cross my mind having seen the adverts & trailers) but so glad I didn't. I found it an original twist on the genre and they had the right balance between being funny at times but still have the tension and seriousness at others. I thought the aliens were suitably menacing except for
the slo-mo bit near the end... the high point of the film where he's getting them to follow him and I'm suddenly thinking 'oh yeah they look like men in gorrilla suits'
they'd manged to keep the mystery of the aliens up through the rest of it.

Didn't like this one at all. Within minutes I was utterly bored by the supposedly funny lingo, it's as pathetic on film as it is in real life. How many times can they possibly say bruv, fam or blud? Cheap laughs and cheap scares. And I'm sure we had some aliens or neanderthals in the audience, I doubt they were human. I liked the two kids, so 2/10 altogether.

It was seldom funny. It failed as a comedy and a sci-fi. It probably succeeded as an action film, but that really wasn't the aim. The aim was a parody a South London black gang, and it simply didn't work. It isn't totally without humour, but it's certainly nowhere near as funny as the Prince Charles Cinema audience were suggesting with their persistent laughing. It's also worryingly dull. It doesn't go anywhere. And on a moral level, it's pretty hideous because a gang of muggers are expected to be liked and by the end are the heroes. Very, very disappointing. I think the director thinks this is funnier than it is. That doesn't surprise me. He's not particularly funny himself.

LOL it really seems to be a marmite film this, people either love it or hate it.

Saw this at Cineworld Liverpool last night and really suprised myself by liking it. Film was much better than the trailer leads you to believe.
I'm not a fan of shaun of the dead or such films, but could find myself watching this again when it comes out on dvd.
I was accompanied by teenage son and his friend who also suprisingly found they enjoyed it, they initially thought it was going to be 'cheesey'.

Sorry that you were surrounded by popcorn crunchers Lite up Lee, I had to put my popcorn away 'cos I keep jumping at the unexpected moments
and was scared that I might choke myself. Loved the brand new seats and seating arrangement at the cinema too. Lots of leg room, we sat in a side row which are now nicely angled. Cinema was about 70% full.

Whilst this wasnt the best film I've ever seen, it wasnt the worst. I wasnt expecting too much, but I did manage a few laughs here and there which I was hoping for. I found it hard to understand... well not really understand, but get I suppose. I think its because I didnt speak to lingo, so sometimes I didnt have a clue what they were going on about. I thought the aliens however were great and if in a proper scary film could be quite frightening!!

My oh and I really liked the film. And the Q&A was very entertaining (many thanks again to superhero for the tickets). We were sitting at the back just two rows away from some of the young actors. On our way out four of the actors were walking out of the cinema just in front of us. :D 8/10 for the evening
