Dismal, truly dismal. Lots of money has been spent on the most ridiculous film I have ever seen. Could be the worst film of the year.

Well that's a few hours of my life wasted.

2 questions: Which muppet approved the making of this film (and are they still employed)?
Did Zack Snyder sign the contract for the Superman film before anyone got wind of this?

Islington was packed... first time in a while. Such as waste of an evening. All I could think was "I'm missing Chuck on TV for this?" Thank god for Sky+

I actually liked it, it wasn't a brilliant script but the story made sense even if it was unrealistic. A whorehouse in an insane asylum? - no chance, but leave that aside and the story makes sense. We even see what happens when she stops dancing and comes out of her fantasy world - tragic.

Oh dear Lord. Where do I even begin to critique this? It was a very poor film indeed. It was basically one man’s fantasy (Snyder) brought to life and it’s not a fantasy I want to watch.

There was a decent concept buried in there somewhere (about using your imagination to escape a horrendous fate) but that was completely missed in this jumbled mess of a film. The acting was bad, especially Browning, who was very one dimensional and had a blank expression on her face throughout the film. There was potential for a decent emotional story which got overrun by explosions and action set pieces. The music was overpowering and the soundtrack seemed out of place in some scenes.

I shudder to think how much money was wasted on this.

A very bad film indeed. 2/10.

I saw this at a packed Islington which was a nice cosy little screen but the air conditioning was on too high so I was freezing by the end! It was nice to chat with hdaniel82 and OH before the film though.

My children told me I'd hate this so shouldn't bother and I am relieved I took their advice.

A whorehouse in an insane asylum? - no chance,
Am I the only one who sees it as an extreme fantasy(the one with the dancing and crap, and the whore house as a secondary fantasy?
It wasnt real,as at the very end it clicked with me, the guy talks her into that room and starts to do stuff but says it isnt right, so clearly hes been doing things to the girls in that room before, just not the glitzed up fantasy that he wanted it to be, its lots of fantasies merging together.
And as for the ending, i think it was still a fantasy, all this talk about "are you going to run off to paradise?" and then the girl is on a bus driving away from paradise diner?
Bit of an inception ending there i think.

Wow this movie is bizarre!! But I do like the idea of dream in dream kind of world (a bit the bad version of inception), but I guess it's Babydoll escapism. I might be the odd one out here, but towards the end, I started to enjoy the action and shared her sadness and rebellion. I guess cause I stop thinking and started enjoying. :D the CGI is great.... ohhh and my OH said, "Do we just watch a video games?" ;) he's a anime, CGI and effects jock and he enjoyed the movie just for those reasons :P
