Well we hated this. What a boring, ridiculous excuse for a film. Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford are laughing all the way to the bank.

I heard a young boy exclaim that he loved the film on the way up the stairs at Odeon Covent Garden when we were leaving. Glad he and Beate's OH enjoyed it.

I think this the best review of the film I've seen!

I saw this at the Odeon Braehead which was about 90% full. Film seemed to be reasobaly well received though few chuckles! I had expected it to have a few more laughs so was a little disappointed. I thought acting by H. Ford and D. Craig was very good.

Who said that the 20th Century had to have a monopoly on aliens?

On 2nd thoughts, maybe they should have been left to the 20th century with ET, Close Encounters, Aliens, etc. :p

Wasn't the worst I've seen and glad I've seen but glad I'd not pa*d.

I was a little concerned about the age of at least one child who was in cinema (appeared to be about 6). Iknow that film has 12A rating but I personally don't think that the film was ok for young children and am surprised at parents taking young children without being able to check in advance or see the film before taking a small child. There could be nightmares tonight!!!!

Marks would be 5/10
Preferred cinemas: Best: Glasgow Quay, Glasgow Braehead, Glasgow Renfield Street, Glasgow Fort & Paisley
Others I'd go to: Glasgow Showcase Baillieston

Films already booked for:

Hope to get tickets for: Every film if they come to my preferred cinemas

Well, Steve Oedekerk was in charge of the Screen story, yes the director of Ace Ventura....
There was very little story or explanations, I know it's all nonsensical but at least make an effort and not just assume it's summer time, throw in some explosions, some aliens and you will get lots of $ or £
It was just so lazy with no exposition. This is maybe marginally better than Conan, but I rather watch Ace Ventura at least it was funny. 3/10

Very funny, but a bit generous mentioning True Grit when discussing this.

I thought it was terrible, nowhere near enough fun for a film with this premise and far too cliched and full of plotholes for a film taking itself so seriously.

X men, Thor and Captain America have all managed to play things fairly straight and were lots of fun as well, this was just hard work.

Did anyone else hear the moron at Odeon Covent Garden go "Cowboys and Aliens! YEEHA!" when the film started, then loudly proclaim "Where's da sound then?" If anyone heard someone shouting "Shut up!", that was me.

Yes to both counts. Glad you told them off!

Lovely to see Beate, OH and prettyxcool and her OH as well as Cliveas from afar. Seeing FMUKers was the high point of the evening for me.

I am really surprised at the rating of this film. It is rather scary! One of the main things i took away from the movie tonight was the clouds... they never moved. I admit I became quite obsessed about this by the end. The movie also seemed to be on forever. The amount of people nipping to the loo kind of showed the general feal of this film. 6/10

I made the same observation. It was a bit distracting as every time someone walked out we got the light from the corridor come in.
