Im just puzzled what they were aiming for, its fine having an unlikeable lead, but it wasn't played for laughs cos it wasn't funny and there was nothing there to help you feel for what ultimately was quite a sad, pathetic character.

shopping is never fab time; I hate shopping!
but i am now the owner (among other things) of a snake print bikini

I would certainly have walked out and end up shopping anyway!
edit: @jeancomp or "at what point DID you actually walk out?"

It was fine I suppose to pass on an hour and a half. Couldn't warm to the main character - I've already forgotten her name and I usually can find at least one thing to like in most people.

On a positive note it was lovely to see akh43, yogi and his OH and have a chat o/

Yinster wrote:Was in Glasgow sitting next to OH and MGellaty. Managed still not to walk out. Did Redgrant watched the same film as me?

When the first five minutes had no soundtrack and just her in the flat I knew I wasn't going to like this. It was hardly a comedy and she was so unlikeable. This had potential and the poster looked fun but we didn't get anything. The script was awful. She as a person was awful. The story was awful. My mind started to wander, around the same time as MGellaty started to drift off to a wee slumber. So most of the time of the film I was think what the name of the Wilson brother who is not Owen as the main actor is a Patrick Wilson. Yeah I know he isn't the one I was thinking as he isn't related. Luke was the answer. And where I recognise the wife Beth? Also funny how they decided Charlie Therzon should drive a red mini just like in The Italian Job. 1/10

Oh the other thing was all I could think about was KFC and how much I wanted one.
I certainly did Yinster. And I loved it. Witty, sharp, funny - particularly the vacuousness of her life reflected in the vacuousness of modern culture (eg the Kardashians splashed everywhere). It's a slow burner but rewarding at the same time
