well I started watching Part 1 in prep for the offchance that I need to sit through some of this as a gobetween. Its actually quite bearable with the sound down, and if you play something grand like Muse in the background. Dallas with CGI and facepaint. Goodness, Kristen got old looking so quick, she looks an old 30something easily. This is actually a bad movie, I understand, but I have to see it sometime if the last one, even in part, is going to make any sense. I see 'the brown guy' is still the unrelenting rapist nutter bad guy though lol. Meyer sure knows how to sell a book to white trash america. Oh dear. Next movie better be worht it, I want a good rammy after all that romance.

I dig the wolves CGI though. I would also like to add that I really liked the 'House MD endoscope' style conversion at the end.

i aint reading it lol!

oh hang on, I tihnk you did point out that the books are a bit different from the movies - so in that case its the filmmakers who are responsible for making Jake a twit.

I didnt even watch the last one yet. Though I do dig that alternative ending, all good vampire films finish with that. Seems an odd way to polish off a quadrilogy like this, mind you. It must be sad for the fans now its all over, like post Olympic syndrome.

Finally saw this using a voucher from a previous complaint.

Decent enough film to close this saga. Never read the books but OH has and she was happy enough with the film.Surprised myself the film didn't feel as long as it was. Which is only a good thing. Liked the ending when they showed everyone in the entire saga. 6/10

Whilst the first half of this was just as bad as it gets, things improve in the 2nd half with a hell of a duke-out ominous on the horizon, and the ensuing scrap is worth the price of the ticket alone, despite some dodgy CGI this time round. Heads roll. A good finale, if only they had extended it!Why is Meyer pa*d a lot to write such rubbish? Who the hell writes the nonsensical thickbrick script? Kristen cant act, and whilst I've grown quite fond of Jedward in his fluffy emo kind of persona, Jake is the biggest douche I'ver ever seen in a vamp movie, but that perhaps is the aim of the filmmakers as I pointed out earlier.

I am not sure what to think about the series - a wasted opporunity to build an awesome vampire mythology, or relief that there wont be any more bad movies forthcoming. Thank goodness theres a mega scrap to make it worthwhile viewing, enter the screening 45 minutes late to ensure you watch the juicy bits and skip the utter tosh.

well raj i'm sorry you didn't like it. i'm not sure you're the target market anyway, i am, and i liked it so do the majority of people i know for whom the film was made.
box office figures seem to suggest it's done something right anyway. maybe, if you hate something already, don't go and see the next bits ;)

i cant wait to see it again. might go tonight!

I dont 'hate' it, hope I am not being too damning since I love vamp and wolf movies and the scenery is awesome, so its agonising to see some genuinely decent bits in the movie sandwiched between the weaker main course. Why the cringeworthy movie number 2 constitutes an entire film is beyond me, none of it was needed for the saga's integrity, and the quad/trilogy would have been better off without it.

I just see it as a missed opportunity to really deliver - it had some of the elements, some good actors (Sheen and Jedward) and a decent CGI team most of the time. If you think this was good, just think what it could have been with a tight script and plot cutting out the wasted chaff to make a tasty trilogy rather than the money spinning on/off dilution we get. An extra layer or two in the plot would have ensured it stands the test of time.
