IF it makes you feel any better, there was no such door in the book. It was more like a laundry shoot.

I never realise how much I dislike films like this until I write them up.

The guy who plays Gally went a little bit crazy re a critic who slated the film. I hope he doesn't troll me. I was about as kind.

The main problem is the screenplay. Wikied the next two novels - sounds like it gets worse. Much worsr.

Where can I read Will Poulter going crazy at the critic?

I thought this was a bit disappointing (having not read the book so walking in with no expectations) but it felt too close to Hunger Games and the small things they overlooked like not using the vines to make rope ladders etc all frustrated me.

I think I will have to read the books instead to get my own feel for it

Enjoyed this, it was solidly entertaining for the majority of it's running time but then it upped it's game considerably during the conclusion.

Overall it did just enough to get an 8/10 from me & I'd certainly like to see a sequel get made as I'm interested in seeing where the story goes from here...

I went and saw this at a sff preview a couple of weeks ago. I had no real expectations as I didn't know much about it. As soon as it finished, my only thought was, when does the next one come out. I think it's fair to say that I really enjoyed it, probably a lot more than I did the hunger games films.
