I wrote this in the very first post in this thread - and these words are indeed how I feel about the film I saw last night.

I did not find it very funny - this is not my kind of humour. And it was certainly more than a comedy - though what it was, I'm not sure. George was re-evaluating his life and trying to come to terms with why he was so unhappy and friendless. It was a voyage of discovery for him. He went fom being totally obnoxious, to rather a decent person by the end of the film.
All the cameos went completely unnoticed, even emimen, for Goodness sake. I think I was resting my eyelids at that point. However, these cameos will be more of a hit in the States, where they are well-known. A film for the American audiences, perhaps, rather than any other?

The cinema was unbearably hot last night - I'm taking one of those little fans next time.

6/10 from me.

Wish i had known there was chocolate popcorn going round... it may have made the night more bearable.... as even the Nachos and popcorn at Boldon would only get 3/10 ...... the cheesey sauce for the nachos was probably similar to the horrible cheese they were using to brush there teeth with on BB last night!

Saw this last night at Cineworld Glasgow, can't say I was that impressed. It had potential but didn't live up to it IMO. It wasn't terrible, but wasn't exactly good either.

Certainly wasn't as funny as I thought it'd be, and definitely dragged in a few places due to the crazy length of film for a fairly simple story. The Teach bits were dire - I know they were meant to be but they didn't really add anything to the story.

Seth Rogen seems to be taking every script coming his way at the moment - I think he needs to be a bit more picky...

5/10

as you can see some people loved it, others hated it and a few of us thought it was ok but long. I don't regret going so I got to see for myself. At least you won't have high expectations, so you might be surprised and enjoy it!

I think it's worth a go because as Elski says, reviews have been mixed, not all negative. If I can enjoy it despite its length, crudity and blokiness, there's hope yet! And I've seen much worse this year, e.g. Anvil... which had no redeeming features whatsoever for me.

Very true Elski, I shall go with extremely low expectations and read plenty of realy bad knock knock jokes this afternoon in preperation.

What a disappointment!................not only did the film go on and on and on and on......and on!!!!

After so many sexual references, that I don't think I am allowed to write hear, within the first 10 minutes.....
they continued and continued and continued..
I am a woman of the world but it was excessive and totally unneeded as there were elements throughout the film that were really funny.
Little to be said, this sense of humour was without question very male orientated and grew tiresome after a short while.

The highlight was Eric Bana....for his fit bod o/ o/ ..........but it was disappointing and that was the general consensus as people scurried out of the cinema wondering why it went on tooooooo long.
5/10 tops

I've got tickets for tonight at Vue Leicester Square through Sky Perks, but I don't think I'll bother now.

To be fair, the trailer never grabbed me like I expect a trailer to. It didn't give me that "I've gotta see that film" feeling, that combined with the mixed (but mostly negative) reviews, and what seems a ridiculously long film, I'm seriously doubting going now.

The fact that I'll have to p*y to get to the cinema two as I dont' have a Central London travelcard... can I really be bothered?
