So that's where you've been! What with you out living it up, Phunkygal away on holiday and AYBG off to university, the rest of us have been a bit bereft.

It was brilliant, got lots of yummy food and drink, possibility of winning comps (tickets to a film premiere was one of them!), got brochures, popcorn, sweets, pens, a gel eye mask, a Dirty Dancing soundtrack from the stage show, had a picture taken with my aura (I look like a ghost on it but my aura is apparently yellow which means intelligent, creative and a perfectionist) - and my colleague did some whiskey testing, LOL. I am now absolutely knackered.

Just been told I have tickets for the high-speed train from St Pancras to Paris!

Should be fun but it is for work and I have to write a report about the experience but I guess I get lunch in Paris and I am allowed to take hubby, so shouldn't complain.

Not a prize really but more like toture as I have to write a full report on the stations, trains and service from a disability viewpoint. Hubby will enjoy it all whilst I am scribbling notes like mad! Oh well, at least it gets me away from the office.....

The Fortnum & Mason Corporate Preview Evening was rubbish. All they did was put all their christmas hampers on show with prices on them (ludicrously expensive, would never dream of b*ying the stuff), there was drink but hardly any food, instead you got smacked by posh people's oversized handbags all the time. I would have thought Fortnum could afford to put out a few tasters from their hampers so we can test the quality, but all we had had by 6.45pm were a few olives and nuts, and some champagne truffles. Decided to leave then so no idea if the good stuff was only just coming, but probably not if the unimpressive goody bag is anything to go by - two brochures and a tiny notebook. Well thanks. Everywhere else in the last few weeks has put on a better show to promote themselves! :(
