Imagine if I did drive a Lamborghini - hate to think what the insurance would have been on that! Even my Polo was insured at a lower rate and that had a bigger engine too!
No residents permit for me this year either.

a_person -- not a great solution but you could increase your excess and that might decrease your premium a bit. Afraid that all insurance seems to be going up but that is little comfort.

Everyone who said it's gone up, only went up by £60 or so and if that happened to me, I wouldn't have cared so much. I'm on a two year lease for my car so I have to insure it but next year when I go to b*y a car, I'll have to rethink as to what I can and can't afford.

my bf has a citroen c4, hes only 21, and even his isnt that high! :S
very weird indeed :/
have you made any claims this year?
bf was going to claim on the accident he had by mine(someone smashed into his and my mates car whilst they were parked up, then drove off)
but his dad said hed p*y for it since his insurance would go up by nearly a grand O_O

you could get to more screenings in a Lamborghini... tearing between cinemas at 200mph.
