Enjoyed Let It Be very much last night. It is a concert with very little chat but screens each side of the stage show animations and contemporaneous news footage and adverts. I thought they were excellent musicians and singers - but you'd think with all the out of work musicians they could find a left-handed Paul! At the end we had a big singalong of Let It Be and Hey Jude and left still singing to the piped music. I was asked for ID at the Box Office but got excellent seats right in the middle of the stalls - the face value of the tickets was £62! When I saw the actual Beatles we pa*d 62 pence! (That is absolutely true - the tickets were 12/6 for anyone who remembers pre-decimal!)
Preferred Cinemas :
Richmond, Kingston, West End, Wimbledon, Shepherds Bush, Clapham, Westfield, Fulham

Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
Thanks for the review, I was curious what this would be like! Although Soul Sister ends up being a concert at the end, there is a narrative for the entire first half and most of the second, so I felt it was enjoyable, even as someone who wasn't a Tina Turner fan. Let It Be sounds more like a tribute act from start to finish, so maybe just one for proper Beetles fans?jeanelle wrote:Enjoyed Let It Be very much last night. Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
I went to see let it be as well last night ( thanks again Tilly for the tickets
)
I brought my mum as she is fan of the Beatles. We got tickets upstairs in the circle but its a lovely theatre and u can see really well everywhere.
It's very much a concert and they tries few times to get everyone up dancing and singing
Mum mum loved its she sang along the whole way through which is good for her as she has been known to fall asleep during the theatre
I thought it was done very well good singers and musicians but they didn't seem to love very much?!
Ok I can't remember any Beatles performances but seem to think they used to dance around a bit or did I imagine that??
I liked it but can't say I would see it again but
I was surrounded by a lot of true fans who seemed to be loving it
6/10 from me
But 9/10 from my mum

Hi Canadian-turtle
Ive just liked Your comment on facebook. 83 likes at the moment good luck.
Hey guys,
I’ve entered a competition on Facebook to win a pair of theater tickets and the person who’s comment has the most “likes” by Sunday wins them.
So my question to you all is if you could please take a few seconds to like my comment and bridge the gap between me and the current number 1?
The direct link to my comment is as follows (though this does seem to change, so please look for the comment by “Zarina de Ruiter” if the direct link no longer works):

And if anyone has an idea on how to get more likes please do let me know as well.
