I went to see Kasabian in Liverpool last night. They were amazing!

They've got a brilliant light/visuals show this time too. Only problem was they blew the fuses for the lighting rigs etc about half way through the show and the stage was plunged into darkness apart from two spotlights from the back of the arena. It took a few moments for the crowd to realise that it wasn't part of the show. As the stage crew were running around trying to fix things, Tom Meighan asked everyone to put their phone lights/lighters on and they continued to play the next few songs with the arena lit by thousands of twinkly lights. The atmosphere was amazing.

They played a good mix of songs too, obviously lots from their new album Velociraptor, but also a lot of favourites which had the audience
bouncing. Suprised I've got a voice this morning, I was singing that much.

Only critiscism of the night- the price of the merchandise. C'mon, £25 for a tee-shirt, the tickets were only £30!

That sounds sooooooooo good, am glad they were amazing!!
Am very excited, a week today wooooooooo hooooo!!! haha on your voice this morning, I hope to have that by next Thursday!!

I was at Wembley Arena last night to watch one of my fav oldy rock band Def Leppard. But they were preceded by Motley Crew and Steel Panther. Steel Panther (who I am not familiar with) played their gig first and f*** me, did they talk f***ing dirty, I mean real f***ing filth!...S*** they got me f***ing talking like that now. f***. They were absolutely hilarious but like I said damn filthy. And their songs were really fun, catchy and f***ing dirty. They make Def Leppard and Motley Crew look like nuns. A-person and Syd Bristow would love them. I feel old, is this the new generation of heavy rock? They are a bit like Tenacious D ( the Jack Black band) only even filthier. Very talented band, musically, and good voice, their guitarist was very awesome. I shamefully wished they could have played longer. I am feeling way corrupted.

Motley Crew came on next and put up an energetic show but I am very sorry Motley fans, I do like some of their songs but I never liked Vince Neil's voice. He always sounded too high pitched for my liking. When Fifth Element came out and I heard Chris Tucker voice for the first time, I thought this is what Vince sounds like. But they were energetic and blasted some classics that I enjoyed then halfway through their gig, they went a bit bizarre as if they were going through a sudden middle age crisis. They had this Big wheel on the stage and it actually rotated...with the drummer inside. so he was playing the drums and rotating with the Big wheel, literally going upside down with the drum kit n'all. But they were playing drum'n'bass! I thought what the f*** is this, I actually love drum'n'bass but not from Motley Crew. Then they invited an audience member, I 100% expected it to be a pretty girl but no, it was an ugly dude, to ride on the big wheel with the drummer. And so he did, while a recording of a red hot chilly pepper song played in the background. Utterly bizarre mental breakdown from the middle aged band...its as if they just wanted to wind back the years, not to their 20s so they can have ravaging sex again but back to when they were 9 years old wanting to go on the merry go round. But it was fun. Their guitarist had way too many solos though, technically, he's not even that good. In fact Steel Panther's guitarist was far better. But talking too many negatives here which is unfair because they did put up a good show and I enjoyed it...just that damn Britney Spears voice spoils it.

OK so Motley Crew played for 1.5hrs, adding the 30 min interval after Steel Panther and another 30mins for Def Leppard, we were there for 3hrs already. Not being all that young myself, this was actually quite testing for me but its Def Leppard and with all this damn fitness balava I'm into, it would be shameful for me to nod off like grandpa Simpson.

And so Def Leppard stormed onto the stage and played...their weaker songs, new stuff too, dont recognise some of them. Joe Elliott looked kinda tired, even I had more energy with my half closed eyelids at that point. This was their final date of a long several months tour. Half an hour into their gig, they then played Two Steps Behind unplugged and for some reason, I think this served as a breather for Joe because after that song, he summoned some mystic energy from the devil and Def Leppard were alive again, rejuvenated and blasting classic after classic. My head started to throttle to and fro again until I looked like a blurred vision (one of my mate's description, though he was holding an empty beer glass). We were all up on our feet throughout the rest of their show which lasted until 11pm (we were there since 6pm) and all my body and mind felt was F*** YEAH (with an Irish twang to it).

Just back from seeing stereophonics at shepherds bush empire.
Love that venue. (Especially as I'm home in 10 mins)brilliant few hours.
Another fantastic night have to admit first half hour I didn't know one song. Must have been from latest album which I don't have. But after that they Played all their hits.
And for the first of two encores. Paul weller came on stage to sing a few songs with them. Omg he is brilliant!!! Will definately keep an eye out to see him again.

A pony walks into the bar and whispers, "I'll have a beer, please." The barkeeper asks, "Why are you whispering?".
