Why has it come as such a surprise to do many? It's been speculated upon for eons. I'm only surprised they didn't go for transgender! Or pan-something or other.

who is jodie whitaker? I guess it was going to always be someone groundbreaking, to keep the show fresh. Other than that, great to see a new slew of Romana-sque jokes and one liners being put to potential use at long last. Particularly in view of the Master/Missy being her mums age physically, thats got to be an endless source of amusement

slight shame that the last one was underused, he was excellent, much better than that gap year boy previously, but i guess an old guy was not what enthralled the young middle class audience.
