Caught "Book of Mormon" tonight and oh my word ... words fail me.
This is a show every bit as offensive as it is brilliant!
Trey Parker and Matt Stone are absolute effing geniuses!!
Hasa Diga Eebowai !!!! :) :) :)
Don't miss it.

We were in the middle of row P in the stalls and it was fine. The ceiling kind of obscures a teeny part of the view but it's barely noticeable. I unfortunately had an extremely tall guys sitting 2 rows in front of me who blocked my view throughout but thankfully, as it is with the theatre, not everything is isolated to the middle of the stage. Sitting slightly on the side may be more advantageous if you're short.eumenides wrote:Out of interest what rows are good for this show ? I'm not familiar with Prince of Wales theatre.

Love reading all the positive reviews for BOM here and elsewhere, this show deserves all the love and praise it's gettingJayman wrote:Caught "Book of Mormon" tonight and oh my word ... words fail me.

I saw quite a few shows in the past week myself:
Kiss Me Kate at the Old Vic: Wanted to love it but it just felt extremely dull. A real shame as the cast was fantastic, but the show itself just didn't do anything for me. It was nice to finally see Alex Bourne as someone else than Commander Khashoggi though (he was always my favourite part of watching We Will Rock You).
Privates on Parade: Was really looking forward to seeing the first play of the Michael Grandage season at the Noel Coward Theatre but was surprised by how little I was able to connect to the play and characters. Simon Russell Beale was fabulous in his role but other than a few giggles it felt like there was something missing from the overal play. Shame, because I really wanted to love the production after reading so many good things about it.
Port at the National Theatre: People I know who'd already seen this weren't too favourable about the play so I went in with really low expectations which meant I was pleasantly surprised in the end. I was gripped from start to finish and was particularly impressed by adult actors playing very believable small children in the first act. They were suitably annoying/whiny and had the mannerism down to a tee.

I woke up this morning singing "Hello. My name is Elder Price".canadian_turtle wrote:Love reading all the positive reviews for BOM here and elsewhere, this show deserves all the love and praise it's getting![]()
The song is still stuck in my head ... and hopefully now in yours too

LOL!! Gotta admit, the tune which stuck with me the most throughout the night was the catchy 'dysentery' song.
Water go to the water, water go to the cup
Cup go to the stomach, shit come out the butt
Shit go in the water, water go in the cup
Shit go down the stomach, shit come out the butt
Shit go in the water, water go in the cup
Cup go to the thirsty, shit go to the stomach
Blood come out the butt, blood go in the water
Water go in the cup, cup go to the tongue
Shit blood in the stomach, shit blood in the mouth
Shit blood on the insides, water come out the butt
Just thinking about it has me in fits of giggles.

Prior to seeing the show, my favourite song was You and Me.
Post seeing show, without question my favourite performance was Turn It Off.

The main dude from the original missionary pack (Elder McKinley) reminded me of Sheldon from Big Bang Theory.

I've got tickets for Dracula @ Fairfield Halls on Saturday, has anyone been to see it (there were free tickets for last night's show) & if so is it worth the trip?...
