Agreed. I'm in work today, would have loved to see either!

Ms Thrifty wrote:I'm absolutely AMAZED to see that there were free tix available for both Untold Stories and The Winslow Boy, which I'm very keen to see. I realise that one was by invitation only - maybe both were - but they've had such rave reviews, and have both opened/transferred so recently that this seems surprising. And with Easter coming, too - you'd think business would be better just now.

Shame it was such short notice!

Indeed. I couldn't have gone, even had I seen it in time and had there still been tix. But let's hope it bodes well for further freebies!

Sorry, tried a friends account which didn't get the email and is not VIP and it worked so thought it was OK.

Thanks for posting anyway - it's always worth a try. I can't get this to work with any account - have now cycled through my personal one, together with those for friends and family - must be guest list.

Apparently SFF think I want to see matinee shows only - how little they know me! So sad the earlier codes worked for me and this one doesn't. Continuing to hope for another code...

I posted the alert for Untold Stories and sorry that it turned out to be Guest List only -- I had assumed it was for everyone as I have NEVER been considered Guest List material in the past so didn't consider this to be anything special until canadian_turtle told me.

Husband and I got there in time for the matinee today and it was excellent. Alex Jennings is terrific as Alan Bennett. Happy to see kaybeelon there and have a chat after quite a while.

Hope that more tickets materialise for everyone and I too would happily see The Winslow Boy. I noticed when I got in that a code had come up for a variety of days for The Winslow Boy but it is Guest List only and I am not amongst the selected few.

I was on the list for Untold Stories, but couldn't make it. My OH has been wanting to see this for a while apparently - do you need to be familiar with Alan Bennett's work to enjoy the show?

I wouldn't have thought so. I believe it is based on his childhood, so takes place before he had ever written anything.
