It's always good to blame someone else ;) But well done on your progress o/

Well done Valda on your weight loss. Asamaic, you've really taken to the gym and exercise, fantastic.
Sorry to hear that you haven't been well but hope you start to feel a little better.

As for me    I have been totally stupid not allowing time to eat for the last few weeks so eating rubbish ie chocolate as I'm walking/driving in between work etc :nono: I try and fit in too much as I like to be busy

I have 6 weeks to my next holiday so really need to do something as I am looking chubby on the photos from last 2 holidays and I don't suit chubby :wall: They are my permanent memories of my trips with my friends and annoyed with myself for lapsing so much as I'm sure that I have put on even more weight :noo:

Do any other FMUK WWers use MyFitnessPal on an android phone?

I haven't noticed anything new (I ran the update as well!) but I'm on iOS. I love MFP, it works with all diets.

Have just been to the gym to renew. o/ Incidentally, weight loss is now at 22 lb. I'm rather delighted. Bring on the summer!

Well done, asamaic! I'm sure that the amount of running around you do for your theatre reviewing should also count as a gym workout!

Thanks, ejwrank! :) It does actually, if I sprint for long enough between venues, there's a very clever app which picks up the motion and counts a calorie burn for me. It's more than you'd think.

Who'd have thought it? Reviewing as a weight loss tool! :p

Well done asamaic what a fabulous amount you have lost. It is such a lovely feeling when you are getting to your goal.

Just been trying on my dresses for my next holiday in 5 and a half weeks and only 1 looks OK. I don't need to b*y any new clothes as got all my summer city break outfits sorted but need to be a lot less of me to wear them. I was good food wise yesterday and have had some all bran and a banana for breakfast which I did weigh but too scared to weigh myself as I know that I have put on even more weight  I will start writing down my menus and scheduling in exercise so that it does happen plus drink lots of water.

Have a healthy weekend everybody o/

Pleased to report that following Preston and asamaic's advice, I have now lost 6 pounds and feel that I am in control again. The Josie Gibson DVD is very good, but I'm going to see what's on Sky that I can record for a bit of variety.

I am now planning all meals very carefully, allowing myself room for the occasional treat. Sadly, I haven't baked for what seems an eternity, and as many of you know, baking is one of my favourite pastimes. (And then eating it, of course).

Diane, I have also been trying on dresses. I will get into some of them before we go on holiday on 18th July. I certainly don't need to b*y any new clothes either, just lose weight to get into those which have been in the wardrobe for a while.

Off to the gym shortly. I go every day now. Staff members know my name!

Well done Andrews on your 6lb weight loss o/ You will certainly be looking good on your holidays. Where are you going? I'm away the same time so if you're anywhere near Milan or Lake Como we could meet for dinner and have it as our treat day o/

Just had my favourite meal ever for lunch bruschetta with fresh basil leaves - really need to get this herb garden going.

Having vegeburger for dinner with a huge salad and balsamic vinegar - just been comparing calories between olive oil and balsamic vinegar 135 per tablespoon as opposed to 11 8O It's balsamic all the way now as I am going to feel comfy in these clothes once again. I'm following your lead Andrews and back to pencilling in my treat day o/

Here we go yet again:

Menu of the day:
All bran with a banana (350 calories)
Falafel on a pitta bread with a large salad dressed with lemon juice (450 calories 8O they now only sell large pitta bread at Tesco and I know I could cut it in half but everything would fall out)
Vegetable burger on a wholemeal bun with salad (500 calories 8O as once again only large buns available note to self need to get them from another shop)

It is only when I wright it down that I realise what a carb overload day it is and if I had got smaller sized bread I could of had some fruit or a yoghurt with my meal. I'll report back on my exercise regime later and I will drink lots of water too.

Keep posting and we can be as good as asamaic and andrews in our mission to have the body beautiful. o/

Ok the dodgy tum helped me drop a couple of pounds and I am determined to keep it off. Have reduced the wine intake, which was good although being in France it was sooo easy to say yes to that extra glass.

Was able to do a bit more walking, so felt like it was doing me good!
Still have to nurse the foot but have been given more physio appointments and I am seeing the orthopedic person at the end of the month. There seems to be 2 tendons one on either side of the foot that are causing a 'mild' problem from what I can gather from the MRI report and there is swelling in there as well. Not happy at the 'osteoathritic' reference for some bones, had to look up most of the words on the internet! Wish whoever wrote it could have put in a 'dummies' guide. Just seems to be taking fooooorrreeeevver
