Great to see this is still going strong!
After a HUGE battle with myself I've rejoined the gym where I've since hurt my back but I've lost 3lbs last week, hoping for same this weigh in but bloody machine is broken, still, I went 4 days in a row didn't eat over my calorie allowance and if my back can manage it I'll be back tomorrow for another workout.

Keep up the good work everyone! - I don't come here often anymore sadly, just never seem to have the time.... I do think of you all often though x

Hi aruif! Yup, holding down the fort! o/

I need to lose just over 2lb in the next fortnight (seriously, 1g over would be fine) and then I'll have beaten the stupid boys at work in their stupid weight loss challenge. o/ Currently at 23lb down. o/

Toying with signing up for a 5k. It's gym day today, so I might try using the running machine thingy. Never mind shoes etc, I've just blown a lot of money on a serious sports bra. And the say running is cheap! Not for women it's not.

Glad to hear you're making progress, andrews and baty! Very well done. o/

Yup, I use balsamic dressing all the time, Diane65. It's such an easy calorie swap. I've taken to 'skinny burgers' as well, i.e. patty and salad, no bun. Trying to go veggie, so that's going to be a challenge given I don't eat nuts. It's not that I'm a massive carnivore, but I do sometimes eat meat to balance out my macros rather than because I really enjoy the taste.

Preston1990, John Milton and weliveandbreathewords, how are you all doing?

Ok, well my weight loss rival has chickened out of the race, so I'm going to do the same. It's not fun if there's no competition!

Tonight is still a gym nigh though. o/

Wow Asamaic sounds like you have really gone to town on the gym thing and are now reaping the benefits. Well done you. Good luck with run Aruif, whatever length it is.

Been given some extra physio by the insurers and had the first yesterday. Was warned that there would be pain and boy was she correct. lulled me into a false sense of security with a bit of foot massage then bang into the areas with the swelling. Have been given new exercises to do and am now trying to correct 8 months of bad walking posture. As they say no pain no gain. Especially as I want to wear something other than my trainers this summer!

Keep up the good work everyone

Oops. I may have accidentally followed aruif's advice and signed up.

I have exactly one month to learn how to be a proper runner! Hell's bells.

Great to see you back, Aruif! Best of luck training for your run too!

I have a CPD event to attend today and so had some time to play with this morning. I made the most of it by heading out for a run and hit the stairs at the back of Kelvingrove Park for a sprints session. 10x up and down them and I was nearly limping home!

Hope everyone's having a great day! :)

Stuck on the tube. I'm going to make a tactical change as soon as I hit an interchange. I must admit, there's something satisfying about running up the steps two at a time whilst everyone else huffs slowly. Little changes.

This weekend is going to be alllll about gym and running. I only have one lb to go before I match my colleague's epic 12-week weight loss. I don't just look thinner, I do actually feel better in myself. This healthy lark works wonders! o/

I have been eating healthily the last few days and the person meeting ejwrank at John Lewis on Saturday for coffee and cakes is just somebody who looks like me :shifty: I will do plenty of walking while I'm in London so should balance itself :cross:
I haven't put on any weight but haven't lost any so not good or bad.
