Go go asamaic

Image I am sure you will surprise yourself.

The last consultant seen said he wants to look inside the 'hoof' (my word) as he suspects torn ligaments. Just waiting for an appointment for the operation now. The physio has made the hoof easier to move and its not as stiff as it was. Still have to rest up after a short period on it as the pain is still there. Can't believe the the time this is taking.

Going to be watching my diet more over the coming weeks I have renewed determination. Caught sight of myself in a full length mirror :tears: that was a very scary moment!

Well done asamaic you are doing brilliant and single-handedly keeping this thread alive. Go girl with the running you are doing brilliant.

Sorry to hear about your torn ligament Baty and it is taking forever for you to get sorted. My heart really does go out to you.

I am still filling up my days like Johnmilton and not allowing time for exercise. I have spent the last couple of days behind the wheel so not much body movement there apart from my neck as went from Manchester to Northampton on Friday afternoon after work but did do a lot of unloading up 2 flights of stairs (moving daughters belongings into new flat), drove to Oxford (as only an hour or so away and always wanted to go) but so busy was walking extremely slowly so no exercise there and then on my drive back to Manchester succumbed to a McDonalds as stupidly hadn't had a meal all day :nono: I'm at the cinema this morning then the home show and out every evening this week after work - 4 are work related and 3 involve eating (2 I can choose a healthy option the third is at a meeting where we are given the meal so difficult to refuse as won't have time to eat otherwise). Reading this I need to learn the words "no I can't fit it in rather than my usual yes of course I would love too" (but I genuinely do love all the things I'm doing - I'm lost without a mission ).

Good luck everybody else o/

Oh, baty. That does not sound fun. But at least they're getting closer to figuring out what's actually wrong and treating it. One of my best friends had her knee seriously damaged and had to have an op - she runs marathons now. Admittedly it's several years on, but the point is, an op makes you better in the long term. You have to remember this is only meant to be temporary.

When something like this happens, it's easy to justify reaching for the junk food - who would blame you? - but you know you want to lose weight even more than you want to binge and you're made of strong stuff. You have it harder than most of us, but that will only make the weight loss even sweeter. Keep going, baty, you can do this. o/

Full length mirrors are just cruel! Shop 360 mirrors are even worse - I'm sure they add 7lb to everyone.

I can emphathise with finding it hard to say no, Diane65 - I haven't had a single night off this week. Had my office do on Friday and yet managed to fit in a West End show and gym session on Saturday. Was so tired, but I knew if I didn't gym it yesterday I wouldn't make it this weekend.

Do you keep a calendar? I find I have to schedule exercise or it doesn't happen.

Come on, everyone. You know you want to do this, so let's make it happen! Every day is a fresh start. o/

Well we may not be doing much ourselves but we shall bask in your hard work and glory, asamaic! Good luck on the run.

Hoping that you are soon doing lots better, baty. Hope that the operation is a great success and you are soon fighting fit again. Mind you, you still seem to manage to do an awful lot and I stand in admiration at your strength, tenacity and patience.

As for you dear Diane65 -- everyone knows you are the social butterfly of FMUK and I know you wouldn't like it any other way! Hope that daughter's move went well and how lucky she was to have you to help out. Enjoy your meals out and the healthy eating regime can start again in a week's time.

Asamaic my diary is ridiculous at times (like myself  ) and I do fill it up. I have got lots of healthy breakfasts and lunches in for thee week.

Ejwrank the move went very well thanks and now when she moves in properly in September it is just her and her clothes to take so should be a doddle :cross: . As for the being good next week I'm going to Buxton for the day on Saturday (I can eat healthily here and planning on going in the cave there https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j ... 8588,d.d2k so a bit of exercise plus doing the woodland walk) then Lancaster on Monday for my friend's 50th then I'm off to Milan on Wednesday but they do have complimentary bikes at the hotel so can do some cycling plus I always do tons of walking so not all unhealthy. I can schedule in some walking this Sunday as apart from the cinema and housework free for the day. I can also walk on Monday morning as only working Tuesday next week - see asamaic you are having a positive affect on me as now scheduling in some exercise plus I can do some on Thursday evening this week.

I did it! o/

The race organisation was awful, having no team captain at the last minute led to a mix up with the numbers and another two people dropped out on the day. We all lost each other and there was no phone signal or any plan for that eventuality.

But I managed to make it to the finish line, so whoop whoop! Even managed to find some of the others eventually.

5.6km, achievement unlocked. o/

Well done, asamaic. So glad you toughed it out and may your team captain hang her head in shame!
