Re: The Diary Room
I had to wait until now to try the Polo free films thing, as I couldn't access it at work. Was offered a choice of 3 screenings for "The Devil Wears Prada" but all at 8.30 pm - pooh! So had to tick "unable to attend".

Re: The Diary Room
When I tried my East London postcode, I got offered Beckenham, Streatham or Wandsworth. Where on earth are they? So I tried my Central London office post code and got - Streatham, Wandsworth or Hammersmith! All MILES from me, I mean WHAT?

I think it would be more sensible if they let you see which films were showing where, before you chose, because as you would probably have seen all or most of them before, you might not be that bothered which one you saw again. I have to say, I was offered quite a local cinema, which I do use, as one of my three; it was just the timing which was unsuitable.

Re: The Diary Room
Same here! Unfortunately my work place and home are in the same area but still quite far apart so I thought I'd try them both! They listed the exact same cinemas you mentioned Beate except in different order. Other than cineworld wandsworth which I've only heard cos it pops up in free screenings sometimes, I've never heard of any of the others!!! Infact, if if I saw them on the free screening list, unless it said London, I would have thought it's somewhere outside of London! What was wrong with cineworld West India Quays!!! And I was looking forward to seeing Mamma Mia on big screen! I guess it will just have to stick to my laptop screen.

Re: The Diary Room
I may be wrong but I thought that the film that you vote for is not necessarily the one that will be shown. That will be decided when all the votes are in.Ms Thrifty wrote:I think it would be more sensible if they let you see which films were showing where, before you chose, because as you would probably have seen all or most of them before, you might not be that bothered which one you saw again. I live in east London and was offered all those ridiculous locations -Beckenham etc but was also offered Romford, which I can just about manage.

Re: The Diary Room
I would have liked to see Love Actually or Mamma Mia - if I chose them but then clicked on Can't make it, does that mean I still voted for them? In the end I don't mind so much not seeing them as none of them are a preview but it would have been great if WIQ had participated although the 8.30pm put me off a bit anyway!

Re: The Diary Room
Exactly I agree with Beate! Those were the two choices I had too! When I initially went through for Love Actually, it came up with those three cinemas. As I didn't know any, I selected that none are next to me option, I had presumed they would show me a different selection. Lol. Instead it apologised and entered me into some prize draw which I have no idea what I would win if I'm lucky! Nothing probably!
