Ejwrank I actually think that you can take a lot of the credit as it was after London that I messaged Preston1990 alerting him of the thread coming back to life (he's my friend so I also like to keep in touch) so you certainly did get the ball rolling again

Thanks once again for your encouragement and you can make apple crumble healthy with porridge oats or just stuff the apples with sultanas and cinnamon - I like sour so don't need sugar.

Re: Weight Watchers
WayHay, Very well done to both Diane and ClareBarr for their cracking week one weightoss results.
Now, if we can all just keep doing what we've been doing, we'll have this thing cracked in no time.
I want to thank EJ
and JoJo
for their messages of encouragement.
It's good to know that you are out there watching our efforts and willing us on. It really helps a lot.
It's great to hear that Asamaic will be back with us again. We are certainly gathering some momentum now
Had quite a tiring day yesterday moving DD1 back down to uni. I'd forgotten just how bad traffic jams can be on bank holidays. My post-brekkie food choices yesterday weren't great, margarita pizza and salad at Pizza Hut. It's always difficult having to eat on the hoof with other non-dieters.
....But, I'm hoping to keep going with it and slowly get it back into shape. And...to that end, I'll be getting out there for a couple of hours again today, trying to roll back the recent years of neglect. Good calorie burning stuff.
Today's Menu
Breakfast: Activia yoghurt drink and Scrambled Eggs with wholemeal toast - 375 kcals
Lunch: Big Salad with boiled egg and tuna with a little hot salsa dressing. - 550 kcals
Evening Meal 1:Full can of Baked Beans over two slices of wholegrain Toast. Splash of Lea and Perrins sauce to lift it from the mundane.- 550kcals
Evening Meal 2: Greek low-fat natural yoghurt with spoon of honey 100 kcals.
Obviously, I'll be continuing with the Preston's "lose 6 lbs in a week" Cucumber, Mint and Lemon Detox Tisane Elixir today.
......What?
Be good everyone. Have fun

Re: Weight Watchers
Well done everyone! Keep it up. Together we can do this, aided by fellow supporters ejwrank and JoJojoanne. I have joined Slimming World and have lost 7 pounds in 7 weeks. Obviously going nowhere fast, but as you know I lead a hectic social life which usually involves eating and drinking. I am actually eating more nutritious food now than ever before and am finding that eating plenty of vegetables is the way forward for me. Try to have half your plate full of veggies. It's working for me.

Re: Weight Watchers
How to enjoy Indian takeaways without the calories guilt....
I tend to order 3 things (on Sunday it was a lamb dish, rice, & a spinach dish). Serve yourself up a third of each item onto your plate, then fill the rest of the plate with salad (I like spinach, raw carrots & cucumber). Have the same for the next 2 nights. (If you don't mind eating the same thing for 3 nights in a row, that is!). It feels just enough food, & you don't feel as if you're being unhealthy as you're only eating a small amount of the food each night. I've just had the last portions with a salad...now for my natural yoghurt with a spoon of manuka honey, & a hot water with honey, fresh mint, lime & lemon :) have a nice evening everyone x

Well done Andrews that is brilliant
I love the fact that you can still enjoy socialising too.
ClareBarr I like the idea of being able to have my favourite rogan josh if I fill up on salad.
Good menu Preston1990. I have slipped a bit today on the drinking water front but have eaten healthily and will up my water intake tomorrow plus post my menu.

Well Done Andrews, that is fantastic
Good to hear more pro-vegetable eating advice and tips from Andrews and ClareBarr
That's what we need on here, more "veg talk" less "hedge talk".
Today's Menu:
Breakfast: Two egg omelette with red onion, spring onion, red/green/yellow peppers, mushroom and courgette. - 350ish kcals
Lunch: Large Salad with tuna and a drizzle of french dressing (I'm trying to wean myself off this, because it can add a lot of cals - Diane's trick of using balsamic vinegar to add flavour instead of high cal dressings sounds like good advice
) - 550ish kcals
Evening Meal: First Course - One corn on the cob coated with a little olive oil (no butter) and grated black pepper.
Main Course - Sliced grilled chicken breast, broccoli, roasted red pepper chunks and sweet potato wedges (cooked in the oven with just the merest spray of that one cal oil stuff.) 575ish kcals
Drinks: Earl Grey tea (no milk), Black Coffee, Detox Elixir.
Looking forward to seeing your "Today's Menu" Diane,
and hoping to see plenty of veggies and water included on there
Be good everyone!

Re: Weight Watchers
So they had just been left sitting there in all of their "whole roasted hazelnut, encased in a thin wafer shell, filled with hazelnut cream and covered in milk chocolate with chopped hazelnut" goodness. It was an accident just waiting to happen.
I went and got two and then went back to my book.
I'm pretty annoyed with myself to say the least, especially when I've just checked how many calories they contain. At 73 calories a pop, that makes 513 kcals in all.
I've decided to offset these calories against my today's meals in an attempt to: a) punish myself, and b) hopefully, get back on track.
Todays Menu
Early Breakfast: 7 Ferrero Rochers - 513 kcals
Lunch: Small Salad with boiled egg and splash of balsamic vinegar - 300 kcals
Evening Meal Courgette, pea and goats cheese pasta - 500 kcals
Drinks today: Black coffee, water.
Another five bags jammed in the car and taken to the tip for disposal this morning
Be good everyone!
