Could you make a nice pasta sauce with the tomatoes, Diane?

Blinking Flip, Diane!! You've got this thread reading more and more like a series of Michelin Fine Dining Restaurant Reviews, rather than the FMUK Weight Watchers Forum, these days. 8O

I'm sure that I'm not the only one here dying to know what dish you eventually plumped (pun intended ;) ) for, at last night's hearty eating establishment. You must tell us!! .......TELL.......TELL.......TELL.......TELL

You'll be pleased to hear that I managed to overcome my (one off) indiscretion of the other night, by cleverly :D adjusting my food intake the next day. I am now fully confident that I'll be OK at next Monday's weigh-in....Well, reasonably confident.....ish :shifty: Well OK - Time will tell :cross:

Today's Menu:

Breakfast - Muler Light cherry yoghurt. low fat but probably too much sugar :nono:
Lunch - Massive salad with ham and 1/2 can cold Tesco vegetable curry on top. Tasted much better than what it sounds or looked  , honest ;)

Evening Meal (so Far :cross: ) Wholemeal toast, sliced tomato, basil leaves, olive oil and black pepper.

Drinks Today: Earl Grey Tea - Black Coffee.

If you eat fewer calories than you burn, you'll lose weight. But when you're hungry all the time, eating fewer calories can be a challenge. People who eat 4-5 meals or snacks per day are better able to control their appetite and weight. Try dividing your daily calories into smaller meals or snacks and enjoying most of them earlier in the day -- dinner should be the last time you eat.

500) Pfeffer-Rahm Schnitzel
(Pepper cream Pork/chicken) pan-fried, served with
creamy gravy (Rahmsoβe), freshly crushed Peppercorns,
Spätzle and Red Cabbage
with a Spezi and shock horror I could only eat about half of it and yes plumped will be the word for me after all this eating. Next week I am only eating out on Wednesday then have friends around for dinner on Saturday so I can choose the menu. Preston1990 and gang I challenge you to choose my menu for Saturday. None of us are fussy eaters anything except fish.

By the way I have a Tastecard and get 50% off food here in case you're thinking that I am like Lord Preston living on an estate ;) and The Alchemist was a special treat for my daughter's birthday.

Your Pfeffer-Rahm Schnitzel sounds like it would have been really tasty Diane, especially that creamy crushed peppercorn sauce. Surely there must have been a fair few calories in it though  :shifty: :outta:

I'm loving the sound of the Waitrose Apple and Plum Chutney recipe o/ ....... and, I've just noticed that the recipe says "The quantity can easily be doubled if you want to make extra chutney as gifts for friends and family." .....Hmmm.....

Perhaps you can think of someone special who would like to receive such a gift this Christmas, and send him  (sorry I mean them) a jar. Wouldn't that make such a lovely thoughtful present. Do you know, I wish I had a friend that would do something like that for me. I'd really love that! :shifty:

I've got to agree with ClareBarr's idea of turning those home grown tomatoes into a nice fresh pasta sauce. o/ The recipe that you put up for that looks nice. You could maybe think about doing tomato soup or gazpacho too.

I'll get back to you with ideas for your Saturday soirée. :D

I'll be having lots of water to drink today and filling up with salad once again. I'm hoping for a couple of pounds loss again this week. Good luck ClareBarr and Diane for your own weighdays tomorrow. :cross:

Dining while viewing TV can make you take in 40 percent more calories than usual. And texting, driving, or any other distracting activity during a meal can also result in your eating too much. Instead, make each meal something you put on a plate and sit down to, even if you're eating solo.

Good grief, wonderful activities...and so much for me to catch up on...  Preston! Clarebarr! Beate! Ejwrank! Virgin pornstar...gang is back and way to go!

...wait Virgin Pornstar? Who...oh Sidney Bairstow, ha :)

Firstly huge congrats to Beate and PrettyXCool for their charity walk, fantastic feat of awareness and smashing the minimum sponsorship funds.  Really happy to see that.

And special thanks to Diane for kicking my ass back onto the thread, lol.  Sorry ive not been around sharing encouragement, i have  no excuses.

Well i have been making progress though.  My diet has improved as I focus getting back into my local squash  first  division league from dropping all the way to fourth div.  I have won 2 out of 3 league games which puts me in good stead to div 3 promotion.  Working hard on my fitness by following a program i set myself (4 times a week in gym, 2 squash training sessions and back to running more).  I cant run too much though because i am a bit heavier so I need to do more low impact cardio to lose the bodyfat before i take off on the lighter footed running endeavours.

Today, playing a full day cricket match (which is not the most  effective fat burning sport by any means but nevertheless, it is a physical activity and I am a prominent covers fielder and 1st change medium pace bowler....if that makes sense to anyone, lol)

My program for next week planner:

Monday:  8km run, upper body strength workout.
Tuesday: gym: lower body workout, short high intensity cardio circuit on row, bike, steps, x trainer.
Wednesdsy: REST
Thursday: gym: 8km run upper body, core blast
Friday: squash match, lower body
Saturday: REST
Sunday:  in Wales campsite, so stretchband upper body and hill jog.

Thanks everyone for building such a highly spirited "get healthier and fitter" vibe, and well done with all of your progressions.  Keep remembering your targets, dont lose sight of them.  I have mine and i am imaginging very cockily and arrogantly, holding a squash tournament trophy...and everyone looking at me shocked "how did he did do that?  He was so old and obese...release your blood test results!".

Crap, Did I just narrate my daydream aloud?

Keep it going guys...have to try some of your recipes, diane and preston...
My film reviews here . ......My FMUK 2014 ratings.......My FMUK 2011 ratings.......My FMUK 2013 ratings . ......My FMUK 2012 ratings .

Do you have a VR headset? If so, maybe we can play a physical sports game or even be sports/fitness partners, hit me up if you keen.

Forcing yourself out of bed for an early-morning workout could be sabotaging your weight-loss efforts if you're not logging enough shut-eye. New research from the University of Chicago reveals that skimping on zzz's while you're dieting causes your body to lose more water, muscle, and other tissue—instead of fat—which slows your metabolism.

I have maintained which I am happy with after this week.

Your menu sounds very healthy Preston 1990 and impressed with the workouts Mr Glass.

I need to get my act together again.

Menu of the day:
All bran
Cup a soup with a bread roll and a banana.
Wholewheat pasta with tomato sauce.

Need to add more veg to my menu.

Good luck Preston and Clarebarr with your weigh ins
