I like to read a mixture of reviews for a film to see how other people respond to it. I'd love to hear what you think of Sucker Punch and Battle Los Angeles (the worst films of the year IMO).

One thing I didn't mention in my original review is that I barely noticed the 3D here. It would have worked just as well in 2D and would have saved me wearing the 3D glasses. I do agree with you that some recent films tend to use 3D for the sake of it rather than improving the film.

I noticed the times for Rio at cineworld next sunday are already up on their schedules (for sheffield at least) if you want to check screening times to decide whether to but a sunday times tomorrow or not.

Hey it's not nice to try and force David to see a rubbish film just so we can enjoy him ranting at it! Although I must admit I found a one star Sucker Punch review in a local paper somewhere which I must post, it's hilarious.

Agree that the penguin film looks tailor made for Beate. I still smile each time I see her dancing penguins.

Could it just be a revenue generator £11.20 for a 3D ticket or £8.60 for a standard ticket. Gnomeo & Juliet was the worst one I seen for poor use of 3D, I only recall 1 scene where I actually noticed the 3D.

It almost makes me shell out money but adult tickets are £12, all others £10. Word of advice: bring your own 3D glasses, they charge you a quid for them. I kept mine from yesterday's screening.

It costs a lot of money to produce a film in 3D so I don't know if they get all their money back on the surplus charges for 3D tickets.

I liked this so much I am going to see it again tomorrow.

I absolutely loved this! Great characters and animation! Like Beate, I will be seeing this again tomorrow. It was just wonderful! I know David really liked HTTYDragon 3D but hated this - I ranked this on the same level as HTTYDragon in terms of humour and storyline. I loved their little carnival scene and the monkey's were hilarious. Definitely one of the best movies I've seen this year (alongside Tangled). I just love these kiddy movies. What's the next kiddy movie out this year? 9/10. Definitely one to watch for those with kids.

@ Beate and PXC - don't worry, you weren't too know he wouldn't keep his f**king trap shut. And yeh Beate, it was when he said the word presentation and I saw he had a f**king booklet in his hand of his slides, I gulped and thought, "there is no way this is going to be 20 minutes." I did look for the nearest exist but being fat, there was no way I would have gone unnoticed and without knocking over you guys. Even the ushers looked annoyed. I know the director was really proud of his film (and rightly so) but f**king hell, he would NOT put a sock in it. For future reference (for everybody), NEVER ask me to stay behind for a Q&A. My first experience of a Q&A and it was dreadful.
