i'm going to see this on tues and i've told and retold the men in my life that it is not a rom-com, then what does the tv trailer say.... this is not a rom-com which of course means it is - doh! :wall: this is gonna take a fair bit of persuasion methinks.

btw the nda thingy it was only shown on the synopsis bit for just one of the codes for this film so i think it's highly unlikely there'll be any nda's anywhere.

ya reckon? everytime and i mean everytime we go and see anything like a rom-com they huff and puff and remind me how awful it was for them to endure 27 dresses!!!! in fact after the ugly truth, my normal very mild mannered boyf said "that's it, I REFUSE to do anymore rom-coms" #gulp#

Well, I am a guy, I generally can't stand Romantic Comedies, and I enjoyed this movie (getting to watch Zooey Deschanel for an hour and a half helped on that count) so I think you might be OK with this one spanner :) It's pretty different to the regular fare for the romcom genre, the characters were a little deeper than most of those movies and it wasn't so predictable as they usually are

As a guy I could totally relate to the film, don't want to say what parts as to ruin it for others, but great to see a film from a guy's perspective : ) Saw it at Lee Valley Odeon and was about 3/4 full so quite impressive. Got told after thanks for coming lol!

The g/f and I were loving the premiere seats....8/10

Saw this today at Odeon Covent Garden. Think the cinema was about 80% full.

My bf and I really liked this film. It was slightly arty at parts. I quite enjoyed the narrated bits, and how the film wasn't displayed in chronological order. I couldn't believe how grown up (and cute) the kid from the "3rd rock from the sun" now is.

DH and I really enjoyed this one yesterday. It was a great break from the traditional rom/com - and good to have the story from the guys perspective for a change.

I laughed at the sort of ‘Bollywood’ dance section with the bluebird and Han Solo on the TV. :D

I really liked the younger sister in it too - though her part was small - I thought it was great that she was the only one who knew how to get through to him! I enjoyed the perspective that it gave as the narration jumped back and forth in time and the soundtrack was fab too.

All in all definitely to be recommended - 8.5/10.

I thought the film was pretty decent - I saw it at Odeon Glasgow Quay yesterday.

Definitely good to a film like this from a guys point-of-view, something a bit different.

Id recommend it, 7/10 from me.
