The two posh women (ejwrank and Ms_Thrifty), don't like popcorn. No surprise there.

The last time I remember popcorn was at NSA in Covent Garden but my one was stolen from my seat by the greedy fat pig sitting next to me (he had about five packets and I had none :crying:). Ejwrank was very kind to give me hers (she did seem rather disgusted by the popcorn anyway). :giggle: So hats off to her for always looking out for me (and my sweet popcorn).

Back to the movie, I am very much looking forward to this movie. With all the reviews etc, can't wait! Definitely will be choosing this over "What's Your Number?" and am even taking some of work colleagues with me, for once!

How fortunate that I dissed (I hope certain a_persons are noting the demotic lingo) only one of the two freebies. So let me say hastily (and on-topic, just!) that should I qualify for the free t-shirt, I will probably be glad of it to hide under when the film gets too scary for me.

were there t-shirts at Big Screen? anyone got a pic? just like to know what the t-shirts look like before deciding whether to try getting there early for it.

No T-shirts at Big Screen. Just a plastic case full of toothpicks with Drive written on the case (the Ryan Gosling character uses them in the film).

Here's a picture of those though http://twitpic.com/6iyrl5

I'm gutted I haven't been able to bag tickets for this one. I've adored Gosling for a long while now (he's magnificent in Half-Nelson and Lars & The Real Girl and especially easy on the peepers!) I'm also looking forward to seeing Bryan Cranston on the big screen for a change.

A couple of my friends have just seen it at TIFF and both gave it enthusiastic thumbs up. They say Melancholia and Martha Marcy May Marlene are the films to beat this year though.

Yeah I'm gutted too.. I'm hoping to still catch it somehow. Though I just keep missing those damn codes!
My mom is at TIFF right now too. Haven't heard from her yet but I think she was going to try to see Drive. I'm also gutted that I'm not at TIFF - I love going to that festival.
