Terrible, how did they get this so wrong?!

It had all the ingredients for a fun action, thriller with a dash of A List acting, but the simple double cross plot was confusingly told, the fights were either stagey or overly brutal and throughout there was no drama, or pace, or excitement, or much of anything positive really and all set to the over the top 70s cop show soundtrack.

When is Steven Soderbergh retiring? If only it had been one film ago!

The hour longer J Edgar actually felt shorter last night.

Still, good to see akh43 and Diane65, thanks again to akh43 for the tickets - I do appreciate them despite my er less than positive review.

I now know why i did it. Stockard Channing is in The West Wing (plays The First Lady) so my brain told me Channing Tatum therefore has to be a woman :giggle:

This is why I shouldn't try and write a review in 30 minutes.

FAIL!

I found it almost impossible to decipher anything of a plot in this at all. What was Ewan McG thinking when he agreed to do this. I could barely keep awake (and not through lack of sleep). Does RBS/NatWest not actually select these films for its customers? I can understand the rationale behind TellTen and SFF and the benefits of previewing turkeys but as turkeys go this was an almight ostrich!

2/10 and that is being generous.

Well what was that all about?????
By the end I felt that if I see another kick, slap punch Image I will have to do my 'Miss' act and tell them to stop being so silly.

Pointles script, plot .........where do I stop. If I had access to a sniper rifle I could have done a better job - that is as soon as I found my glasses.

The sixties music just irritated me. 2/10 for a warm cinema

At least Starsky & Hutch had some humour, this was relentless violence.

It was OK and time passed fairly quickly. Gina Carano is amazing at Martial Arts and she certainly got her revenge. Recognised loads of places in Dublin around Grafton Street and Stephen's Green and a few places in Barcelona which was nice. I always try and pick out the positives but can't think of much more.

Lovely to see akh43 and yogi and OH again. 5/10

Really worried now. Out tomorrow, so catching it anyway, with the unlimited card, but man, didn't expect such negativity.

The trailer looked so good but this was a such a huge disappointment. It wasn't actually a long film but it dragged and felt it went on forever! Despite all the famous faces the story just didn't gel. Never been so bored in a supposedly action-packed film. 3/10

Saw the poster for it on the tube on the way back: "Totally unmissable" it said. Obviously a misprint!
